It is packed with that lovely Christian beige, it looks a tad tired, and it is full of scary looking missionaries but then that is to be expected, on the plus side its location is amazing and without any of the sleaze you might find in other places in the area.

Definitely the highlight of my first trip to Bangkok. Friendly staff and a great breakfast to send us on our way. Knowing there is a safe clean place to escape to, well this to me is priceless. Reasonably priced and well located. Close to shops, the sky train and public transport.

Fantastic location, impeccably clean, efficient, functional, cosmopolitan guest list, tremendous value for money, staff don't smile easily, breakfast could be better. Recently refurbished bedrooms, new headboards and bedspreads. Always consistent in every aspect.

This hotel is in a central location very close to Sala Daeng BTS. It is clean and a well maintained establishment. The shower is large and there is a good selection of satellite TV channels. One drawback is the basic features in the room - no tea making facilities and few amenities in the bathroom. But if you want a... More

This is a clean basic "hotel" with a wet room and a good shower with constant hot water. It has a mini fridge and plenty of storage space with a daily laundry service. An ironing board was provided on the landing. The price is very reasonable, so do not expect a wide variety of food, the variety of fresh fruit... More

I stayed at BCGH, as it is fondly known, three times in August. It's a simple guest house, immaculately clean with friendly staff who pay attention to each guest. BCGH is near the train and lots of food choices for every budget. There's 'night market' style shopping as well as Central, an upmarket department store - all within 5 minutes... More

The hotel is located in business area and quite near skytrain and subway with 5-7 min walk. I stayed in triple room with bathroom ensuite. The room had basic facilities provided. Breakfast was include as a buffet (bread, fruit and some Thai foods). It is worth staying and I would recommend for budget travellers.

A really nice guesthouse located in the centre of the city and close to the train station, shopping areas and hospital too. I liked the simplicity of the GH. No frills but just had the right necessities such as clean rooms, hot water, simple and basic breakfast, good and friendly service by the staff. They have a kitchen which provides... More

What a lovely, calm, quiet place to stay. Basic accommodations which are nevertheless scrupulously clean and importantly, air-conditioned! Close to Central Silom Complex with a food court and only 1 block walk to Sala Daeng skytrain station - for ease of access to many other parts of the city. Close walk to the beauty and tranquility of Lumphini Park. Delicious... More

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
