I have been here for 3 nights and can honestly say one of the best budget hotels I have ever stayed anywhere in Asia. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was adequate overall not a complaint at all. Would definitely stay here again. Had dinner in the restaurant one night and it was really good....

From the outside it looks super scary, but from the lobby inwards everything is clean and looks great. For the budget price it costs we got a/c, desk and chairs, nice shower and comfy beds (guys, beds in Asia are hard; just deal with It!). The breakfast, included, is quite nice: a different choice of warm dish each day (or...

Elderly hotel close to Central Station and lifely China Town, just across a pedestrian bridge on the other side of a small water way. Very convenient if you stay only a short time in Bangkok and maybe need to continue by long distance bus to your next destination, since Bus #49 to the big Northern Bus Terminal has a stop...

Was there for 6 days/ 5 nights in February 2016. The location is very very near the railway station and a metro line. The hotel is 2 star but for the price it is very worth it. Breakfast is good. Staff in the cafe is very nice and polite. Bed is very hard. There is no hair dryer. To get...

The hotel is very near(200 m) from the Bangkok railway station . The hotel was very traditional and the staff were friendly and adjustable . They allow early check in when they have rooms available without additional cost . We checked in at 9 am instead of the actual 12 noon . We booked the hotel through agoda and it...

Stayed here because of its convenient location across the canal from Hua Lampong railway station. Good value rooms. Nothing special, but clean and comfortable. Would stay here again to be near the station for onward travel.

The hotel is placed just in front of Hua Lampong station, so it is perfect if you arrive from the airport (as you can get directly there by metro), and if you have to leave by train the day after. We choose it mainly for this reasons, and it has been the best decision ever, considering that it is also...

This is an interesting old hotel, I really liked the decor and also the location was perfect. I was able to walk to the Golden Buddha and also was right near my train, which I needed to catch early in the morning. It was perfect for my stay.

We booked this hotel due to it's proximity to the train station where we would be leaving from to Chiang Mai. It was a good price and easy to find. The service at check-in was not very attentive and after not being acknowledged for a while we finally checked in. We had 2 adjacent rooms; one smelled of dampness and...

Staying in Chinatown / Yaowarat

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown / Yaowarat
Better known as 'Yaowarat' among locals, Chinatown is Bangkok's bustling district that never sleeps. During the day, the main street and its small alleyways are filled with a vibrant mix of colours, scents and flavours coming from the roadside restaurants and all-day markets. The real action, however, happens after sunset. Surrounded by neon lights, Thais and tourists alike flock here around dinnertime to feast on some of the best street food in town. Escape the chaos by venturing a little further from the main road and discover hidden shrines, friendly locals and daily life in its purest form.
