Stayed here in 2019 before Covid19 and couldn’t fault it. Came back and we shouldn’t have. Breakfast buffet is gone, rooftop terrace gone (closed), shuttle service gone. Overall, the place has lost its “hidden gem” feeling and is now just an average Bangkok hotel. To be fair, rooms are still very nice, quiet and clean.
Everything was wonderful. Area Staff Price Food Accommodation Cleanliness Location Couldnt ask or wish for more. Highly recommended for everyone. Close to all amenities including the river for transportation. Will return.
The hotel is rated as a budget hotel so I can't be harsh as to higher expectations so ill break it down into pros and cons as I see it. Pros: -The price...you'll be challenged to find something as good for the exact same price per night - Quiet area, which is good and bad for location -The room was modern, clean, comfortable bed, good a/c, good shower, refrigerator and kettle -Helpful, polite staff -I felt safe in the area -There's a mall by the sam yan mrt station if you want a western breakfast Cons: **considering the price and hotel class this is an area that I can't be harsh about but it is what it is -The location is about a 12 minute walk to the closest mrt station sam yan so its a bit inconvenient but you can always take a mototaxi or taxi using the bolt app or haggle the price -There was no early check in but thats no ones fault...hotel policy at 2pm All in all, the hotel is worth staying if you're on a tight budget but for me I'd rather spend $10 more and stay by asok station or one of the more centrally located hotels …
Bad service mind. Bad attitude. Unprofessional. We’re 2nd returning guest and last night should be 3rd times visit but unfortunately we can’t count. We booked the room in advance via Agoda application will the payment has been done. When we arrived , we informed about the booking details and we felt the staff not pay attention. The staff name ‘ William’ and another woman checked our reservation, they said can’t find the booking. Later, they mentioned that we booked wrong date. We insisted that we booked corrected as we already checked and we showed the details on application. We booked 25-26 December and that woman said we booked 26-27 December and printed out the booking showed to me. How funny that the booking that she showed me was the booking we booked ans stay in November!!!! It’s showed that she not pay attention to the details at all. Then both that woman and a man , William tried to check the booking and told us that still not find. William explained to us that even booked via Agoda but Agoda has various sources. We totally understand because I’m working in hotel and knew the process as well. However , as a guest we proceed everything properly , we paid and we have confirmation. So , any faults should be sorted out by hotel and supplier. William asked us to wait and will check with reservations team and Agoda. More than 20 minutes , he informed that they can’t find the booking and he asked us to contact Agoda by ourselves. They not allowed us to get the room. Everyone know the process and Agoda is very difficult to contact. I asked William to help as Agoda call center not pick up the phone but he ignored. We try so hard to speak with Agoda team and even we reached customer service , they ask us to hold the line for checked with hotel. It’s 09.10 PM Thailand time and we’re tired. There’s NO assistance from the hotel. William totally ignore us and left us sat at the lobby without assistance or one word fot sorry. At least sorry for inconvenience.. we didn’t heard from this man. 09.30 PM we decided to move the hotel as it’s late and there’s no solution , this hotel not welcome us so we don’t want to stay there. We moved to other hotel where cannot compare to iSanook Bangkok because their service is 10/10 and we realize that to pay a little bit higher but more standard is worth. Agoda called us after that and informed that , Agoda already discussed with agent and hotel , hotel (iSanook) can allow us to stay but we have to pay deposit first and once they received the booking from agent they will refund to us later. It’s too LATE !!!!!! They should offer this option to us since beginning not just ask us to wait and wait and ignore to us. We won’t back to this hotel. This is very bad and unacceptable in term of service. They can’t handle the situation and don’t have solution for guest at all. This is unprofessional and we will report to their management as much as we could do.…
Great hotel, very friendly french boy at the reception. Very handy location. You can ask for extra transfer to the city center. Great place and wonderful service. Highly recommended! We will come back :)
Stayed here a few times already for quick surf trips. And general impression is good. Single biggest issue I have is that the king size bed is two beds pushed together, and the duvets are also two duvets overlayed onto each other. As comfort and sleep is the primary objective of a hotel I found this a very poor management decision. Location is abt 10-15 min walk to the beach. Breakfast costs nearly as much as the standard room. Staff are mostly nice, with special mention to cafe team and Natty the Filipina hostess at the front desk is lovely. Found it a bit odd that when I asked about long stays they never followed up, esp during covid times. As well as when I extended my stay they couldn’t extend my key card immediately but asked to come the day of original check out. Logging into your smart tv WiFi everyday is a bit of a hassle. Other than that, fits all my needs for a surf getaway. …
This is one of the best budget hotels I've stayed so far. We rarely think of going back to a hotel we stayed but I'll definitely prefer here again in the future. Although, I must mention that I didn’t like the attitude of the receptionists. They are not friendly and one of the ladies who never smiles and didn’t welcome us at our arrival managed to piss me of later. Worse still, she kept simultaneously speaking in order to avoid me rather than listening to me or apologising when I got angry about her communication and asked for her manager. She’s certainly not a fit for the hospitality industry with that bossy and cocky personality. After the incident, I made a complaint to the manager and had a long chat with him. He is an awesome guy (who is not Thai) and totally understood the situation. He is the only reason why I didn’t change my mind about their place and why I’m not leaving a negative comment of the management and the establishment here. I hope they keep working with him. Moreover, I don’t know of your expectations of the location but there are grocery shops around and the hotel is not far to the main roads. We made our travels with grabs without a hassle. Also it is very clean and their pool isn't taken care of by using unhealty chemicals. On the other hand, the beverages sold at the reception are really pricey and the airport transport service absurdly costs higher than the cab fares.…
We are 3 couples of friends and stayed 3 nights in this hotel unanimously we recommend this hotel. ideal quiet location while being in town with very welcoming and helpful staff services: swimming pool, gym, airport shuttle, tuk-tuk, In more massage room right in front of the hotel
We had a three day stay in isanook at the begining of March 2020, great place to stay. Staff very helpfull " Gift " at reception was extremely helpfull, Lucky in the restaurant top guy room was clean, tidy & comfortable. We would strongly recommend this hotel x
Basically my rating says it all. Really nice hotel for family and budget. I loved it. Ad much as my family. Next time will definitely try to stay there again. Stupid restriction here to fill out in the review 200 symbols me minimum
