I stayed for one night and I was really on a tight budget. The location of the place is perfect because it's near the tourist attractions like the Grand Palace and Wat Arun and also it is five minute walk to the party center Khaosan Road but away from the noise you can sleep well. There is a lady at...

We booked online, got into the hotel around 2 a.m and had no problem checking in. Other places closed around 11 p.m. Room small but clean, cheap, bed hard (same as everywhere), a/c worked and not too noisy. Western style toilet, hot water (if you want it). Short walk to most major attractions like Grand Palace. Can store your luggage for...

The place was ok for backpacker budget standards, clean and staff being helpful but the room I had was facing the street and was super noisy. Make sure you ask for room that doesn't face the street as you will experience loud noise of road traffic. Mattresses wasn't too comfortable. Didn't get quality sleep unfortunately, but that was also to do...

This is the worst accomodation I ever stayed in.ok for the price u can't expect much, but the staff is unfriendly, they don't even bother to say hi. Rooms are small and walls are paper thin, facing the street is really noisy,as well as the other guests. It is not clean at all,and they give only 1 dirty warm blanket for 2 ppl.we...

Stayed here for one night when first arrived in Bangkok, just needed a base in the centre (it's an ideal location for exploring - right next to Koh San Road!) All very basic for approx £6 each (triple room) - probably could have got somewhere better for that price but can't complain really, due to great location and all very...

It's decent and clean and in a good area if you wanna be out and about with a lot of people but over priced for what you get. Worst bed, worst blanket, no common area to meet other travelers. If you just want a one night lay over and want it clean and boring this is your place.

Negative aspects: small room, basic furniture, no elevator, sometimes noisy (dipends of your neighbors), not enthusiastic employee. Positive aspects: good location, clean and functional place, good price compare to the area, 24h reception, laundry service, free WiFi. We were two in a double room with ac and bathroom (500bat circa) and we stayed three nights starting on the new years...

You pretty much get what you pay for with this accommodation so don't expect a lot when you're paying very little. Yes it's very basic and small, but you do get a hot shower, air con and wifi access. The location is good and only a 5 minute walk to Khaosan Road. The bed "cover" was pretty pointless and only...

From the pictures it appears ks guesthouse is a basic place to stay, upon arrival it is much less than that. Ants everywhere, no ac-just a fan, minuscule bedrooms with a large towel like thing rather than a duvet cover or sheet, the whole room feels filthy. The staff were not very friendly either and for the first time throughout...

Stayed here 3 nights Summary Perfect for what I wanted - solo traveller, or friends, basically anyone who wants cheap place without sharing bathroom. Not for families or elderly/mobility issues as no lift. I gave it average but you can't complain at £8 a night. If you can handle one night then this is a good budget place which turned...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
