Good location and reasonably priced hotel. I have stayed here many times and therefore I usually get a great upgrade to a suite. I like the convenience of its location and the general ambience. Always given great advice by all the wonderful staff.

Price - Rating: 4/5. Booked the hotel from agoda.com and the price is somewhat expensive MYR190/night. Friendliness of staff - Rating: 4/5. The hotel staff was very helpful, able to communicate in English and attentive to request. My room has a connecting door, however my sleep was disturbed with a pair or more gay-men having sex at around 5am in...

It is great place for staying with all amenities, without being 5Star, for tourists who will spend little time in the hotel. Rooms are good size but the common place is limited to not a large lobby. No lawn or anything else. Functional place with comfortable stay. Thursday evening there is 1 Hr free drinks and light snack for all...

Stayed Executive Room with bonus late checkout, room was OK, common areas the carpets are shabby and building is looking very tired. Breakfast was average. I didn't find the hotel and its staff as a bright and cheerful place to stay. It was close to the night market but that's about it and maybe 7 minute walk to BTS.

The reason behind choosing this hotel was first the location and second the price. The hotel looked old almost everywhere. Though I booked an executive room which is higher than the base category but had no view from the room (wall of the building in front of the hotel entrance). Room was just ok. Breakfast was included in the price...

This was my third stay at the Tarntawan and the first since new management took over late in 2016. First, the positives: The staff is excellent and as always, ready to be of assistance in any way; the breakfast buffet is quite adequate and as before, I enjoyed the Thai items and the delicious fresh fruit each morning; the room...

I've been a regular guest for seventeen years and have reviewed the hotel previously. Like others, I was concerned that the recent change of management may lead to unwelcome changes. Reports of old friends on the staff leaving were a particular worry. I've just spent another few days there and can report that all is well. I did not experience...

This hotel is quite good, but the rooms could do with major updates; a bit tired and worn down. The rugs were mostly blackened with stains, so much so I would not consider going barefoot in there. The rooms were underwhelming considering the price. The pros, however, were the hospitality, the breakfast buffet and the comfortable beds. I dislike the...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
