Got a great deal on agoda. Nice, newer room (1607). Comfy bed, hot shower. Pool upstairs is nice, with cool views. Rooms aren't automatically serviced every day, you need to ask or put out the card if you need anything. Free water and had a hair dryer. Breakfast buffet is pretty good if you are patient with the feeding frenzy....

from D&D to DangDerm, i really love to stay here in Khaosan Road, Bangkok. Safe, Clean, Big Rooms, Friendly Staff...though they serve same breakfast everyday from year1 up to present, we don't mind. Value for money, and we will keep on coming back!

Khaosan Road, well located near the Chao Phraya River, Democracy Monument, Wats, etc. closes to traffic mid-day, however, tuk-tuks and motorbikes roam through until the last minutes, so keep your eyes open. As the day turns to evening, the road fills with travelers, vendors, workers, and various hoards coming and going. Dang Derm, D&D's sister hotel is just across the...

Khaosan Road is home to party animals, DO NOT LOOK FOR THAI CULTURE HERE. The area is very noisy till late, if you remain sober you'll regret. The hotel is overrun by party animals, to be precise the somewhat classy-ish ones, as the hotel offers a good value for a bit more money. The rooftop pool is nice. Service in...

Great place to stay, good wifi, great room with a perfectly working air con. They busy with renovations so could be noisy if planning to nap during afternoon. Also breakfast is not in same hotel but accross the street.

We had a two nights stop in Bangkok and we wanted a little better hotel than usual. But this was big disappointment. Room full of cockroaches (I really mean full of them). In any hotel that we have been in Thailand hasn't had so many cockroachers and the smell in the room wasn't good. Customer service wasn't that good either....

This is my second time to stay in d&d and I can say that its just fair enough. The price is cheap at around $30 so you shouldnt expect for a high quality hotel. Some of the bad things are, mosquito in the room and smelly cr. The noise outside is bearable, of course the hotel is in the middle...

Stayed in d+d for two nights. Room was very clean, comfortable, had air con, a fridge, flat screen television. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Has a roof top pool and bar. Location is amazing, it is right on Koh San road which is great if you like partying. Tuk tuk drivers are right outside so it is very easy...

Spent two nights here as a stopover destination to/from the islands of Thailand. The hotel is humongous! The rooms themselves are a decent size but are quite basic, especially the bathrooms. The hotel is located right in the middle of Khao San Road so it's the perfect spot if you're there to party...but it's the noisiest place in the world!...

Great location if you are looking to be in the heart of khaosan road and all the backpackers community. Noise guaranteed every night til 3 or 5 am on the night coming from the discos and bars on the street. The room was okey, the breakfast so poor and in the child of in front and the price ... quite...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
