Right in the middle of khao san road so perfect location if you like eating drinking and shopping! Obviously rooms at the front are going to be loud at night but its really not a problem and if you think it is you shouldn't stay on khao san road! The rooms are nice although there was only one single power...

Just in Kaohsan Road where all the nightlife is! So if you want a quiet night forget about it. It's a nice place with a good swimming pool available at any time, so you can go and chill down with a couple of drinks when it's too hot and humid. They are currently doing work but they are not really...

I booked a two single bed room for 4 nights at the D and D. Having stayed in other Kao San hotels in the past, I think this is the best bang for your buck on Kao San Road. At least there is a descent bed, working shower, hot water, wifi (ridiculously slow), air con, and a pool. If you...

We got booked by a family friend that is from Bangkok. I have to say that If you stay at D&D, you will like the location; it's right in the middle of the nightlife and bars, ect. The hotel was clean, fast room service, the staff was super fast and friendly. Best place i've stayed in Khaosan Rd. for the...

Perfect if you want to enjoy the great Khaosan rd nightlife or if you want to be close to temples or great palace. The room was basic (no window) but clean and comfortable. In spite of the location it was quite and nothing disturbed my sleep... during the night!! Unfortunatly there were some ongoing renovation works and so at 8...

My first meeting with Thailand was Khaosan Road and D&D Inn, I think there are better ways to greet a new country. Located in the middle of tourist “hell”, screaming tourists with buckets of alcohol and loads music at every corner it was not the best place to stay. You could hear everything from the street up in the room....

I spent one day here, and it beats other places I've stayed in the area for the same price or more. My room was clean and comfortable, and pretty well-appointed, though I think it was in a recently renovated wing. The bathroom/shower was quite nice, with airy windows that overlooked the courtyard--sadly, those were the only windows. Still, I'll probably...

We booked a double room whilst in the UK on agoda. The pics looked lovely and apparantly £20 a night was half price?!?!? We knew it was on kho San road so expected noise. Looked nothing like the pics, staff were rude, the whole place was a building site and ignored any sort of health and safety regulations. Wasn't clean,...

Terrible, terrible stay at this hotel/motel! I did read the reviews here before we left and thought it can't be that bad but it is. Please if you still haven't booked try a place just on the nearby street. Although D&D is right on Khaosan Rd it is a horrific place - dirty, loud and so smelly! A lot of...

I use this place as its great cheap and clean, it is loud outside but if you understand this going in then it's not a shock. The single rooms are clean but basic, the pool is a nice chilled out area if you have had a heavy night before. Breakfast is over the road is ok but too early.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
