Booked via Expedia and the room was fine, nothing special. Good mini bar and 2 bottles of complimentary water every day. Room service was OK too. Thought the bathroom was a bit small, compared to other hotels I've stayed at. I had a problem with check-in (took too long for no obvious reason) and then my room key didn't work... More

The staff make the place! We staid mainly in as was the recent death of the King and quite wet. Great gym, ate in the downstairs Indian and the 7th floor cafe, both very good. In fact the Indian was better than India! The rooms are overdue for a refit, and must loose the shag pile! However very comfortable. Beware... More

Was woken by a banging noise above the door. I hoped it was just the people in room upstairs and ignored it but was then woken up several more times. Spoke with manager and apparently is caused by the drains when it rains. Anyway staff were polite and helpful but I would not stay there again, as sleep is my... More

Overall we enjoyed our stay here. The room we received was big And clean. Staff was friendly and eager to please. The breakfast buffet was over all good, the food items they serve change from day to day so some days had better selections than others but over all still good. Pool and gym were nice, we used both and... More

Stayed at this hotel at the end of a tour of Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand. It has nice rooms, good services, and an excellent breakfast buffet. I especially liked the location on a quiet side street--just a block off a very busy thoroughfare and an easy walk to two Skytrain stations.

Recently stayed at the Majestic Grande hotel in Bangkok. The location was perfect. Closely within 5 minute walk to Nana Plaza and the Nana BTS station, from where Bangkok can easily be navigated. Large breakfast buffet serving both western and asian dishes with a prompt and friendly staff . The room was large and very comfortable bed (especially for Asia),... More

We have stayed at this hotel several times and it is still good value for money considering the location and the well appointed and adequate room and bathroom. Lots bars, shops and restaurants around and within walking distance to the Sky Train station. Breakfast offers a good variety and there is a pleasant outdoor eating area by the pool. Well... More

Lovely hotel, reasonably priced. The spa was not 'functioning' although it was open for business - the hot tub did not work (although was hot) and the sauna would not switch on. The pool outside at the dining room was lovely and the food served at breakfast was great.

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
