It's along the river that Bangkok lives and breathes and the Majestic Grande Hotel is a 12 minute taxi ride in good traffic, and a 45 minute ride in bad traffic. Trouble with Bangkok - good traffic is rare. So to head for a river dinner cruise, or for a longboat ride up the canals, or for a tour of...

I have been dissappointed on several occassions by this hotel so guess it is time to find another one. We like its position and it was once a great place to stay for business. This time it took 30 minutes to check in and mix up with rooms meant that we had to change rooms mid stay. The room we...

Starting with a breakfast buffet that can't be beat, this hotel offers first class service in a very un imposing manner. The concierge and travel service desk are very knowledgeable and helpful. Situated close to but not on top off a major Bangkok "entertainment" center all are made to feel welcome without being hassled.

This is our fourth visit to this hotel. The staff is very helpfull. This time we did not book in advance, but even then got a good "Walk in rate". Our rom in 24th floor was facing the Motorway, but an interesting view. The rooms are quite nice and has all things needed to make the stay nice. The bathroom...

Really enjoyed our stay here. The room was very good and the breakfast buffet massive and tasty. The pool is also great for a quick dip to cool down from the heat of the city! Importantly the Majestic Grande is only a few minutes walk away from a Sky Train stop and is within walking distance of a number of...

Hotel had great location near everything and train was 2 blocks away. The biggest down side was the hotel pool was too small and the air conditioner was not cold at all, was hot most of the time. The room was small but clean. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. Be aware with the taxi drivers waiting outside...

We stay here every year -it ticks all the boxes. Good service, good rooms, great breakfast, fun location. When you read negative views regarding some of the clientele please remember this hotel is just 5 minutes walk from Nana Plaza and not all the guests take their wives. However; in the 6 times we've stayed here we have never felt...

If you're like my wife and I and are looking for a comfortable room with all the standard amenities, fun location within walking distance to a lot of stuff, with a bar and a few other nice features, I'm very confident this will suit your needs. Right next to the super 5-star JW Marriott but at 1/5 the price. There...

Arrived at reception and was greeted by a friendly lady who gave us all the information to make our stay comfortable and was then directed to premiere room 2402. (24th floor) Upon entry the room was somewhat dark due to the dark wood panelling and the room was a little smaller than expected. The room was well equiped with TV...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
