Beautiful antique bikes and vintage interiors. Staff is as friendly as they come. They offered us suggestions for bar and dining locations for the rest of our trip. Try the bike tour. Walking distance to many must-see temples and attractions.

We stayed in one of the lofts which was very cozy and seemingly spacious for what appears to be a small inn in the heart of downtown old Bangkok. It was within walking distance to many historical sites and highly trafficked tourist destinations for street food markets and shopping. The complimentary breakfast was absolutely delicious as well and we would...

I stayed in this lovely inn for 4 nights with my mum and felt very enjoyable. We all like delicate decoration, considerate service and perfect breakfast!!! Very appreciated Jason and his family taking care us a lot. No only giving us useful tips of traveling in the old capital area in Bangkok, but also preparing for sandwich when I need...

We booked the Queen Loft Suite for a couple nights to relax after a couple days of traveling around some of the islands down south. You're a stone's throw away from the Grand Palace, Wat Arun, Khao San Road, and other attractions. OCBI provided nice maps and itinerary for things to do in the area and we had fun doing...

Having looked at lots of hotels, we finally picked the Old Capital Bike Inn and I am so glad that we did. Reasons to stay here: 1. It is a small, quirky hotel in an old house - much more interesting and personal than a chain hotel. 2. It is in a brilliant location in the old, central part of...

How can you call a place a "hotel" when the hotel owner runs for a medicine when he hears you coughing ? Isn't it almost a parental care when your breakfast is prepared uniquely for you entirely upon your wishes and requests with great care and the best ingredients. Every single guest enjoys the rich variety of the breakfast exactly...

Very friendly service, charming hotel decorated with taste, gorgeous breakfast, convenient location for visiting main Bangkok sights (e.g. 5 min walk from Golden Mount and 20 min from Grand Palace), cute little gift from Chatuchak market on your pillow everyday, Highly recommended hotel!

My wife and I stayed at OCB Inn for 2 nights on our way into Bangkok before darting out for some of the periphery cities/islands, and we wished we stayed longer. The hosts are incredible, friendly and hip, and they offer great recommendations (not only in the city, but even for Chiang Mai, which was stop #2 on our trip)....

Dear James and Anjali, It was our pleasure to have you here at the inn, even for just a short 2 days. We're flattered by how much you enjoyed staying in our room and hotel, and especially taking up on the recommendations we offered. We always try to help our guest make the most of their trip, and not just...

If you're looking for someplace with character, this is a great choice. On a quiet street within walking distance of Khao Sanh Rd, easy tuk-tuk to anywhere. Friendly, helpful hosts. Wish we could have stayed longer to take advantage of the night bike tour.

I stayed in two different rooms across two different nights here. Both rooms were beautifully decorated and very charmingly presented. Great little boltholes from the mania of Bangkok living. Jason & Nantiya were very friendly and helpful with anything I needed or recommendations. The guided bike tour around the old centre of Bangkok on the first night was really good...

Dear James, Again, we are glad you got to stay with us and enjoyed the unique stay we have to offer here in old Bangkok. And yes it's always great to be able to experience the town on a bike when you first arrive, so you can easily get an overview of the town. So we're glad you got to...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
