The food is lovely, but the staff is horrible. I had to wait very long to order something and it wasn't even busy. This waitress was so rude, looked and behaved as she was so annoyed to serve any guest. Next to waiting long to order food, I had to wait so long for my food aswell and even when I... More

well what you see in the photo is exactly the same as it is but not exactly what i had in my mind. this is a average , but reasonable place to stay just off koshan road where all the action is at night. so expect nothing much other than a reasonable place to stay. the front office staff is... Wasn't a great place to stay. Staff were rude. Not accommodating. Rooms uncomfortable and like prison cells. No windows. Shared bathrooms were clean as cleaners were around all day. I wouldn't recommend for days stay maybe just one night stay is fine

Stayed in September, room was very small it could only fit a bed in however was clean and tidy. Is acceptable for backpackers. Pool was clean and handy as Bangkok is very hot. Restaurant was quite slow and food was not great. Hotel staff was very happy and friendly. Drinks were very strong.

I have been in Thailand for a few weeks now as a backpacker and this accommodation has been by far the worst. I would never return or recommend it to others. When we entered our room for the first time, my impressions were that it was dark and dated with an uneasy atmosphere. The bathroom was very basic and the... More

When you enter a room and the first thing you see is a card telling you how much you will be charged for if you take their towel, you know you aren't at a classy joint. For $13 US a night, you get a room that is the size of the bed, a towel, told that you can use the... More

The hotel is located about 5 minutes walk from Khaosan Road. There are a number of suit tailors and massages shops that hassle you on the way to the hotel. The hotel requires you to leave a 1500Baht or you passport as a deposit. We stayed in a economy double with a shared bathroom. The room was quite large and... More

I stayed at this hotel for the whole time that I was in Bangkok, having arrived very early in the morning after my flight from Sydney. Check in was no issue at all, which was a relief as I was arriving in the middle of the night. Staff were very helpful and even lent me a phone charger for the... More

My husband and I have our first three nights of our trip in this hotel and we liked it. We got a smal room that was very simple and little, was not super clean nor too derty, sheets and towels were clean, the bathroom had a little bottel of shampoo and shower gel, also a small soap bar and toilet... Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
