We stayed in kawin place two times. One time three nights and one time two nights. The rooms were okay and clean. Only luxury was the free wifi which worked good. There is no tv and no fridge in the room. The first time we had a bad working air condition and it was really warm inside. Second time we...

I spent one night in this Hotel with a friends. The rooms are very basic, tough it has A/C . The bathroom is very basic. Staff is ok. Good thing about this place is location, in an alley, so you don't have noise from Kao san street.

Don't stay here if you can find anywhere else. The staff were polite at first but when I asked to change rooms due to bed bugs, they got angry and started to shout. I had stayed maybe three hours to have a nap, and woke up with small welts (I've had this problem before so I realised they were bed...

Standard basic backpackers hostel. No frills at all. You get a bed and that's pretty much it. The rooms are pretty much all the same, just different numbers of beds. No air con but when you spend only a few hours of sleep there, who cares?! We accidentally broke part of the window and they just charged us instead of...

I spent 4 nights in this Hotel with a group of friends. The rooms are very basic, tough it has A/C . The bathroom is also typical Thai, very basic. Rooms haven't been painted for some time so the walls are dirty. Staff is ok. Good thing about this place is location, in an alley, so you don't have noise...

Stayed here for about 3 nights. I noticed red bumps showing up on my body, mostly by my ankles. Looks to be from fleas or bed bugs. Place smelt bad on the top floor. Also can hear club music playing from the bars all night. I would try to avoid sleeping on khao San road all together.

Had a good stay here. Spent a couple nights and my stay was quite pleasant. I forgot how much for 1 night for 1 fan room but I think it was discounted during that time. (2nd week of november) I stayed at the first floor. 1 single fan room with no bathrooms. very small but okay for me since I...

We originally planned to stay for 2 nights, ended up staying for one. Cockroaches found in my room and my friends. When we confronted staff they accused us of bringing the cockroaches into premises. They were very unhelpful. Our friends checked into another hotel.myself and my friend decided to stay on and check out in the morning as we had...

Very unsafe place. Ive stayed here for two nights and got robed from my room. I was very carefull to lock the doors and everything but it seems they opened it with another key. Tried to get help from the manager but they were very rude and thought I was accusing her. After a few days of thinking what might...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
