I cannot recommend this lovely guest house enough. Situated in a convenient area, yet away from the major 'tourist zones', the staff were extremely professional, friendly and helpful, and no request was too much trouble. The breakfasts were delicious, and different to the usual 'run of the mill' selections experienced elsewhere. The decor was fascinating - every time you walked... More

Thanks lot for your compliment :) In fact we are embarrassed as sometimes mistakes do happen, we can't really say we are very professional but simply trying to improve and learn from experience. Some of our staff don't speak very good english so mis-communication is also possible. We just hope our guests can understand that we are a small family... More

We enjoyed this hotel overall, but there are some drawbacks to consider. Negatives: Room: Small. If you have two children like us, book two rooms! Lack of cupboards means you literally live out of your suitcase. 2 double beds in one room was way too tight. Beds: I know beds in Thailand are generally hard, but these were like sleeping... More

Thank you for your great feedback! It's true that our rooms are quite small so a small family is advised to stay in our family room (twice the size, but we only have 3 rooms like this), however we have public space on both ground floor and roof top so our guests can chill out there. Our bed is harder... More

We only spent 3 nights in PN, on our way back, but we were happy with our choice of the place. Really friendly staff, nice relaxed atmosphere, unique interiors, great change from the hustle and bustle of the city. The rooms were simple but nicely done, had everything we needed. The breakfasts were pretty good, nicely served, although my partner... More

Thank you for your great feedback and we are happy to hear that you enjoyed our free cooking class, one of the purposes is to allow our guest to have more opportunities to get to know how we work especially part of the team work in the back stage like our chefs! the reason that we promote meat-free breakfast is... Such a unique hotel. Bursting with style and creativity around every corner. An incredible space that seems like it's half-indoors and half out. Maybe the best way to describe it is as a series of loosely connected cabins that holds together as a highly impressive boutique hotel. Rooms, halls, and relaxation spaces that use hardwood and color like no other... More

We think personal touch is something that cannot be replaced, those are come from our observations of the community and we tried to preserve and give them some twists (this include decoration and the way we treat each other). As we know luxury hotels certainly can give everyone the highest comfort, but a great travel experience is an assembly of... More

We spent seven days there and it was a perfect stay. Lovely space, helpful staff (yes, they can write the directions and place names for you with that Thai beautiful letters). We are honored to be one of your RTW highlights! We do wish every guest feel like visiting a friend's home rather than just a place to stay. PN is a small guest house, facility-wise is not even close to any chain hotels. But we truly care about our guests and feel responsible for their needs as we see ourselves... More

We stayed in this hotel for just one night before embarking on a two month tour of SE Asia - a bit of a treat before we hit the budget guest houses. And what a treat it was! Our first visit to Phranakorn Nornlen and it certainly lived up to expectations. Our kitchen team is very glad to hear that! This is one of those special places you feel right at home in and yet makes you feel you are in someplace exotic. Wonderful staff, great food excellent ambiance. annoying mosquitoes at some times but otherwise a haven from the bustle of BKK.

Cute, quirkly little haunt that lives up to its reputation and name. Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
