I just want to say this hotel was such a good find. It is a true gem in a busy but wonderful city. When we arrived, unfortunately it was when the floods were happening, and they had to shut, but they kindly let us stay. The hospitality was 10/10, food 10/10 and the interior of the hotel was TOTALLY AMAZING,...

This may be a cute bohemian boutique type of hotel, but it makes for a completely amazing stay. The are where it is located is not the nicest but once you walk in you're in a completely different world. Regardless, I prefer residential areas rather than touristy areas as they give you a better idea of daily life for the...

Everyone at the PhraNakorn is friendly and personable and fantastish! I don't think any other hotel in all of Thailand had such exceptional service. Not only did they inform us of the area, Tukta sat with us on the roof and explained details of Thai culture, that had previously been lost in translation, for about an hour. She also picked...

This is one of the most comprehensive guest 'report" and I am sure many of our readers have found this very useful :) something can be trained but not able to be changed which is our own character, we choose to work passionate people despite of their experience & background. Thanks alot for your good tips! In Bangkok standard our location is considered very convenient as we are located in the heart of Old Bangkok areas where you can find grand palace, reclining Buddha, Khao san road, flower market, central train station & etc are within 5-10 mins by Tuk tuk or taxi. In fact we are also quite close...

Adorable boutique-like hotel nestled down a side road. Super caring and friendly staff. Certainly more expensive than many other options in Bangkok, but you're getting a great service and the the location makes it something of an oasis from the bustle of the city. The reception garden is truly beautiful - the hotel's website shows it well. Rooms are really...

Thanks a lot for your kind review! We are trying to do our best with a concept of "slow life", PN is not a hotel but a guest house with lots of details and artistic touches. We believe small things are the best things :) The reason we don't have automatic booking system is because nowadays most of the services...

We spent 3 nights at this delightful hotel. We loved the quirky paintings everywhere and the rooms were beautifully clean. The staff were friendly and helpful and the meals we had there unusual and very good. Although there was concern about the floods, we were kept informed and we could see that they were prepared if we did become stranded...

Thank you for your message , we are so happy to hear that and thank you very much for your understanding about the flood situation which was unpredictable. Big thanks to 'google' when I type 'Vintage hotel Bangkok' - that's PN shown! Must COME! I do appreciated with Donald, who have lot of time to responses in email correspondences due our concerns of the big floods. He's star! I'm GLAD to come. Kob Khun Kha! ( Thank you in Thai ^^) Your generous message cheer us up and gives us a happy feeling! We love to welcome our guest = friends and family, and enjoy talking, listening, and getting to know the new culture from every single moment with the guests. The quirky decor, ultra friendly staff, interesting Thai food and great rooms make this one of the best value hotels in Asia, never mind Bangkok. Loved it. Would definitely go back. The view from the roof terrace is unmissable.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
