If you are staying here, choose for the suite rooms as they have the direct view of the WAT ARUN Temple across the river. The food however, is not worth it and neither is the roof top bar. Too steep and weird to climb upto....More
Hotel: The hotel is just opside the Wat Arun monument in thailand, it's a busy area and close to the palace etc. a good hotel to stay.
Price: Prices are fair for the location. you also get a spacious room.

This is a very small hotel with a restaurant and bar. I would say it’s not wheelchair accessible and without an elevator. We rented the top floor suit and had a beautiful waterfront view of the river and Wat Arun. Location is perfect for walking...More
This is a well located place to stay with friendly staff, comfortable rooms and easy access to the local sights. The breakfast is good as is the bar with river view. Staff will help with bags on the stairs.
We stayed for 5 nights on a recommendation from a friend who lives in Bangkok. Great choice. We were in the Arun Suite which was very spacious and had its own private deck looking out over the river to Wat Arun. Room was clean and...More
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around
Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.

As other responders noted this is not a luxury property. My wife and I stayed in the Arun Suite, with a private balcony overlooking the river, with a great view. If you can get that room I think it would be a great romantic honeymoon spot. I don't know about the other rooms. The hotel is small and the decor has a charming eccentricity and a "funky" ambience. I mean that in a positive way. As others noted it has a great location for walking to the Grand Palace, Wat Pho and Wat Arun is across the river. A ferry terminal is nearby to cross the river. Amorosa Bar is a nice spot to have a drink and watch the sunset and the restaurant on site is convient for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Other dining is within walking distance.
