View of the river and restaurant easy walk to some attractions or by taxi or tuk tuk at the end of the road. Good base if in Bangkok for a few days. Quirky room on two levels with tricky stairs if not fully able

Had a wonderful large suite with a porch facing Wat Arun. If you have the budget, do get a suite, it's not that much more expensive and you will be rewarded with a wonderful view of Wat Arun and the river and all its activities. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean and air-conditioner worked well. Best way to...

You can't argue the view - which is stunning and almost worth the dinginess of the noisy waterpipes, the so so overpriced food and the general lack of service. It's all about location - and because of that and that only, it's worth a night or two.

So glad we booked this place! We'd been on a trip to a neighboring country and came back to Bangkok to fly home. Decided to splurge, and happy we did! The rooms really gorgeous, and perfect for relaxing and repacking before our flight the following morning. There's a nice little area of shops and restaurants surrounding the area, which is...

The food is very reasonably priced and delicious! The restaurant is in a great location over looking the river and temple. Once we had finished eating we were shown up to the bar on the top floor where the view of the river was even nicer and the ambiance was really great.

We stay in the room split across two levels, ground floor: very spacious hall entrance and bathroom, wardrobe, security box, first floor bed, and small TV area with a confy sofa and small table. It was a very spacious!!!. Our room did not have a pleasant view so we kept the blinds close luckily we only stay for 1 night....

I stayed here for only 1 evening with my family. The hotel is an absolute delight and I cannot recommend it enough. My sisters and I slept in a suite at the top of the hotel with a private balcony overlooking the river. My parents had the room next door which was split across two levels. The rooms were large...

We searched for the restaurant as we wanted to eat over the river and the eating area is partly over a balcony. A busy small restaurant but with a nice atmosphere. All the dishes we had were flavoursome and presented well. At times it took a while to get service but the staff were busy. We ordered 6 dishes a...

I never leave trip advisor reviews, but this place really deserves the recognition! Wonderful hotel, lovely, attentive staff and magnificent views! Strongly recommend! Close to Wat Pho, the Grand Palace and across the river from Wat Arun this place is perfectly situated! Plus a hope on the express boat to central pier and Bangkok is your oyster!

"Wat Arun", across the river, all viewed directly from your bedroom window. You cannot ask for a better location to visit the major Historical Area of Bangkok than your stay at the Arun Residence. The warm, friendly very helpful staff, was always available to assist and made our stay quite memorable.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
