Really great pool with a fantastic view right next to Chong Nonsi BTS station. The room we had was very big and spacious. Our only problem was that we had to get our two room keys replaced three times due to them not being able to open the door, which was extremely annoying - but putting this aside, it was a great hotel for the price

This hotel has some good things going for it. Great location & great staff. Despite the intermittent WiFi issues, the rooms were in good condition. Regarding the breakfast, it was horrible. I've stayed at this location many times with great breakfast choices including rolls & croissants, but it has deteriorated greatly. Not even breakfast items any longer. No yogurt, NO BACON, NO POTATOES and just plain white bread. I think they serve leftovers from dinner. We had spaghetti carbonara, fried pepper pork, seafood with curry powder and some unknowns. Nothing resembles breakfast except for an egg & watermelon. It's disgusting. They need to fire the chef and get someone who knows what a breakfast is for their international customers.

This hotel is in a big location. I’ll give them that, however, they should not rest on your laurels and make some major improvements.

This review is more of a suggestion than a complaint.
The I residence Silom is a good hotel in terms of location, polite staff & the breakfast provided when u pay for it.
The hotel needs fixing up no doubt about it. I think hotel guest just accept it the way it is becoz room rates are quite low 60% of the time.
Things that can be improved are the lightings in the room, perhaps update their fixtures & furniture in the rooms, update their tv channels & also the in room bedside telephones.
So here’s my suggestion :
I had requested 2 extra bottles of water & 2 more pillows during my 1 nite stay 18-19oct 2023. I was sharing the room
With my partner.

I was informed that there would be extra charges for more water( bh40/us$1.10 each)bottles & pillows.(bh50/us$1.37 each)
The “extra charges” were not outrageous but I felt that this type of information should have been stated clearly when we were making our bookings or when bookings were confirmed.

I have stayed at this hotel several times before and I was never asked to pay extra for their amenities. Perhaps this hotel was trying to make up losses they suffered during the CoVID19 pandemic.
And of course the staff member I spoke to was not emphatic at all to my requests.
I would have gladly paid for the “extras” if they were as advertised in the initial booking.
I am requesting that the Management of I Residence Silom hotel & other hotels for that matter to rethink that branding & advertising because unlike most people I do read the smaller details.

Visited this place for 9 nights and I must say that this is one of the worst hotels I have stayed in for this category of hotel.

Location - if you need to stay in a calm place not close to any attractions please book your stay here . The only plus for this hotel is that there is a train station right opposite. There is nothing to see or explore around it. Except for one 7 eleven and MC Donald's and a few coffee place that close by 8pm.
Rooms and stay - horrible room at the starting category. It's super small and the pictures are incorrect on all travel sites like Agoda Nd booking.com. I was highly disappointed and when complained to the manager she dint respond for 2.5 days the shower in the bath has a problem for the whole hotel as I changed my room mid stay. The showers simply throw super cold water or super hot ! So you get either very cold or burn your skin. The staff did not care about this complaint . But my biggest challenge would be incorrect pictures of the room.
I shifted my room to a higher category as half the things were breaking in the entry level room and the manager listened after threats of 2.5 days. The other room was better in size. But all other problems remain the same. Bad showers which makes you uncomfortable and if you are traveling with a family member. The toilets and showers do not have doors!!!!!!! So it's a free show for your family.
The breakfast remained the same for everyday and it's too basic. So do not book with brekafast
Final comments -
staff is rude from top to bottom. The manager said she doesn't care about any online travel portals for any complaints. The manager is always shouting at the guests as well as the other staff is highly unsupportive and seemed racist as well .
I would not suggest this hotel to any traveller who is wanting a happy time in BKK. if you are in and out and never interact with the staff then go for it but the location has no advantage too.

It is such a great disappointment to be in this hotel. First of all, the check in took such a ridiculously long time to be completed even though they had three staff at the counter and was dealing with one family.

Then the three nights that I stayed there were plain nightmares. I checked in on 30th April, the next morning - Labour Day which is a holiday here - I was awakened by the renovation work! The drilling started around 8 and lasted till 10am. Not to mention the hammering that went along with it.
The door of my room would not shut automatically by itself. I had to hold onto it and make sure I pull or push the handle to shut the door! The balcony is dirty - with cigarette buck and its light is without the bulb. The water temperature in the bathroom is a real challenge to control. Day two was slightly quieter until 5am when the BTS started. I have been bestowed a room that faces the BTS station! But last night was the worst! The air conditioner was making so much noise that I had to switch it off. Then mosquitoes started to attack me in my room! When morning arrived once again the drilling started. Guess what? Today is another public holiday! It seems that this hotel doesn’t allow some guests to rest during public holidays!

I will NEVER RECOMMEND this hotel to anyone. If you wonder if I have informed the front desk, yes, I did. The respond was, ‘oh, we are sorry.’

So, I’m conclusion, I didn’t manage to rest at all!

We stayed here on our first night in Bangkok and it was disappointing, the staff were not at all friendly not once did anyone even say hello.
The people at the reception desk were not a bit friendly and could only speak a little English and communication was a joke.
Room was ok but we couldn’t get out of here fast enough.
Check out is 12 and the power to our room was cut off right on 12.
Give this place a big miss!!

Staff was so rude and couldnt deal with issue, couldnt manage situation in the best option for customer. I came to check in around 7pm and found that the door room wasnt completely closed i could push the door open without insert key card. I went to lobby told staff the problem and ask for new room. They didnt let me change the room and one of women staff, the older one, try too explain about the door and try to make me accept that room. I told them about my concern that the door wasnt close completely and that mean anyone can get into the room and i didnt want to stay there. I had to insist many many time so i could get a new room. And another woman staff, the younger one, had rude expression to me and keep doing such a rude act to me on the next day we met.
And i never receive any apology for this improvidence situation.
Please train your people to have more service mind, manner and ability in solving urgent problem.

The location is really good, 1-2mins walk to BTS and there is a convenient stall. A very small guy and a swimming pool. Breakfast is ordinary and do not expect too much. In case you are sick of breakfast, there is a local stall near the hotel selling Chicken rice. There is also a MacDonalds.

The room is run down and very simple. The "Do Not Disturb" button is not working and the toilet door badly designs. The hotel counter can't help you if you want to change money to smaller notes. To be honest, I am very disappointed. Tried two times and they always can't help. So I got to spend money to break the notes at the convenient stall.

We had a great stay! Yes, our room had a few cosmetic issues, however, it was very clean and very quiet for the duration of our stay. We loved the breakfast that was served and the location was amazing with anything you needed within a block from the hotel. The staff were always so welcoming and great. Overall, we would stay here again!

I’ve went to Bangkok on 15th of December 2023 with 3 of my friends. We checked into i residence Silom. We booked premium deluxe room.. The room was spacious and clean with wifi internet, cable TV…etc..What i like about is the location, it’s just opposite BTS Chong Nonsi . Travelling in BTS is convenient especially Bangkok is well known for traffic jams. The premium deluxe room price is reasonable and location is good. I would recommend to book this hotel if they like good service and if they are on budget..
