A smart hotel in the middle of Bangkok's Sathorn business district and Silom entertainment hub. Located just a 3 minutes' walk from the Chong Nonsi BTS Skytrain Station. Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sathorn is a convenient base for access to Bangkok's Central Business District, shopping, and sightseeing at major attractions such as The Grand Palace, Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Chinatown, Khaosan Road, Chatuchak Weekend Market and Erawan Shrine. Explore Thailand's tallest rooftop destination at the new Bangkok Landmark King Power Mahanakhon which is a 5-minute walk from the hotel or enjoy shopping at the new riverside landmark Icon Siam, located few BTS stations away. You can end the day by the riverfront and catch a glimpse of the scenic Chao Phraya River at Asiatique. The location is perfect. 3 mins walk to BTS Chong Non Si. 2 mins walk to a local market Lai Lai Sap (6am-2pm) where you can get cheap foods , clothes, fruits and all household stuff. 5-7 mins walk to the BN hospital, few steps away from Lek seafood restaurant and a local food court for lunch time. Pharmacy is across from the street. Gay sauna Manila is 2 mins away. 5-7 mins walk to Silom street. 7-11 is also 5 mins away. 12 mins walk to Yunomori Osen. Overall, it is a perfect location to walk around on foot or BTS skytrain. I gave a 10 for location. Staff : 10 points .From front-desk (specially Meow), bellman, restaurant staff and housekeeping, they were all nice and polite. They always greet us with a smile. They kept our room clean everyday. Breakfast: 9 points. They have Thai and Western buffet breakfast but it was not a big buffet with many choices. Sometimes the Thai foods were so spicy for non spicy eaters like us. They had very good hot chocolate, Thai and green tea. It sure filled you up to start a day. Room: 8 points. Clean room with 4 bottles of water a day. The mattress was neither too soft nor too hard. It was very comfortable. Our room was 504 which facing another building so it was very quiet at night. AC worked fine with a key card. A safe and small fridge in the room. No closet, just few hangers in the open space. They gave 2 pillows on 1 bed, 1 soft and 1 firm. Facilities: 9 points. They have a little gym, a self laundry (pay 100 baht per load) room including iron table. It is very convenient. No swimming pool. I gave a 9 for facilities due to the issues in the negative section. Overall, it was a nice stay with Holiday Inn Express Sathorn. I highly recommend this hotel. We sure will stay here again the next time we are in Bangkok.
Disliked · The main problem that we and other guests have encountered was the water temperature problem. When taking a shower, water kept changing between hot and cold constantly. It could burn you if you use too hot water at the start. We reported this issue to the front-desk, and a day later they shut down hot water to fix the issue. However, the problem still remained after they tried to fix. It seemed they could not identify what the cause was. Another issue was there was no electrical outlet in the bathroom. It had only 1 outlet which attached on the hair dryer base, and it was only for shaver. So if you have other stuff that need to be used in the bathroom such as waterpik, electric toothbrush charger, or your own hair dryer, you are stuck. There was no place to plug it in unless you have a long extension cord to connect from outside the bathroom. To me, it is a design flaw. Anyway, despite the issues, we have booked 7 more days with them in the same room since we like the location and the customer services. Updated: during our second stay (1 week), we reported the water temperature issue twice. The first time, they sent an technician up to fix it right away. However, the issue remained. The second time, they fixed it while we were out. In the end, the water temperature was much stable than before. It was not 100% perfect but at least the water did not switch to cold constantly. For these such effort, I have rated to 5 stars.

This intimate hotel is located in the best location. It is on a quiet street parallel to the busy tourist spot of Silom road. Lots of cute and independent restaurants and cafes along this quiet street. Also very accessible to Chong Nonsi and Saladaeng BTS station.
The rooms are smart and very clean. Amazing housekeeping ladies! There is also a good exercise room and a computer station at your disposal
Breakfast is complimentary and despite being basic, it as more than sufficient. They offered eggs freshly done alone with a small selection of breakfast items. The staff were busy but always friendly and obliging.
What really stood out is the service level. Despite being a budget hotel, the level of service was excellent. Very member of the staff was friendly, kind and extremely helpful. One can tell that this hotel cares. During rainy days, they would put out face towels in the lobby for guests caught in the rain!
This turned out to be a really unexpectedly comfortable stay! Thank you to K Mac also from elevating my stay with the room upgrade!

Fantastic location in the heart of bustling Bangkok. The rooms aren't massive in size and you might struggle for longer stays. The room and bathroom were both clean and the facilities good. Breakfast was very busy and does cater more for the Asian market but there were eggs and pastries for those not wishing to have rice or noodles for breakfast, I did and they were both delicious. Would recommend staying here.

I stayed on the 5th floor away from the elevators and had no problems with noise. The staff are well-trained to assist guests and are pleasant and welcoming. I thought the breakfast was delicious and varied; you sit and order from a menu, and the staff bring you your items from the buffet. The hotel is a few minutes walk to the BTS and a 7-11. I love this hotel and will return soon!

Everything is great during our stays. Good room, good breakfast, good housekeeping and very good service, staff are friendly and helpful, and always with a true smile. Special thanks to Ms Jerica from Front desk. My wife and I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights .Arrived at 11.30,pm, Jerica notice that we are on free and easy trip without any travel plan, she volunteerly asked us to meet her every night after 10pm to help us with the traveling plan for next day because she is on night shift this week. This is really a great help and make our Bangkok trip very wonderful and memorable. Thank you so much Jerica. Also a big thanks to Pond, very warm & professional F&B services provided during the breakfast time and provided us many useful and interesting ideas for visiting. Future visit to Bangkok, of course, we will choose Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sathorn again!

Spent 2 nights here with enjoyable stay. Nice room with a comfy bed and full of necessary in room amenities. Located in central of Bangkok, easy access to everywhere, close to sky train ( Chong Nont See Station ) , surrounding with good shops and restaurants so don't be worry where to eat. It's one of the best choice to stay in Bangkok with limited budget. However their breakfast made me a bit disappointed on the 1st day with terrible " Pad Thai " as nothing much on breakfast only weird Pad Thai which was a " main dish " no sausage no ham or any bacon and I was feeling better on 2nd day. Sausages was served and some fried rice and hot soup. One point need to emphasize is a service oriented from all staffs no matter from Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping and Security, they are all willing to help and ready to serve what you need. It’s not often that you can say this, but we found it impossible to fault this hotel. From the moment when we checked in, and received a room upgrade, our experience can only be described as FIRST CLASS. The front office Manager, and Mac the Front Desk team leader provide customer service that you would only usually expect to find at the best 5 star hotels. We had two rooms booked and one of our party doesn’t use lifts and the staff assisted her whenever required to use the stairs to her room. Every member of staff we met was helpful and charming. Our room was very comfortable, clean and fresh with a choice of pillows; the Wi-Fi was fast and stable and the large TV had a wide range of stable channels. The car park was spacious and easy to access. Finally, for breakfast this morning there was a good range of hot and cold items and drinks. The hotel is a few minutes walk from Chong Nonsi Skytrain station which allows easy access around the city. This will be our hotel of choice in Bangkok in future.

HI Express Sathorn has a good location. Walking distance 3-minutes to Chong Nonsi BTS station. Attached to the hotel is The Coffee Club which serves a good alternative to the hotel's restaurant (which serves breakfast only).

We stayed 4 nights at this hotel. Everything was absolutely perfect. The room was super comfy, everything was clean, breakfast was very good and had multiple options. The only thing that surprised me was that, given it is a Holiday Inn, staff spoke very little English. But they did their best so we could understand each other and were always attentive to all our needs.

Extremely neat, clean & efficient hotel that is run by smiling, helpful staff. Rooms are small-ish but very functionally laid out and have every facility that a traveller would expect. Well designed (& good sized) bathrooms too. A basic but fulfilling breakfast is served at the lobby level restaurant, which leads into an all-day dining cafe called The Coffee Club. Lots of other dining options all around. Less than a 5 minute walk to the BTS. Recommended!
