The hotel is in a great location. Not far from koasan road. Even though it is close you do not hear the noise from the street. I found it very noisy in the hotel. It would need a bit of update considering that the Lamphu...More
Good place to stay in noisy Bangkok. Even though it's located in the Khao San area Lamphu House is quiet and has a nice relaxing garden/ sitting area off the road. So it's the perfect place to have a rest after a long day. Rooms...More

Check in is efficient, rooms basic but clean, bathroom clean (usual southeast Asian flooding everything when you shower but floor dries surprisingly quickly). Staff friendly and helpful with booking onwards journeys (tours, transport, airport pick up etc etc). Safe Luggage...More
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around
Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.

Sure, there single rooms are 290 baht per night shared bathroom. They book up pretty quickly but the singles are the only rooms they don't allow you to reserve online so if you get to the reception just before 11am you should get the single.
There's a 500 baht refundable key deposit.
There's no wifi in the room but there's free wifi downstairs at the 24 hour reception.
It's clean and safe here and really well run. Hope this helps :))
