I stayed 3 nights at the Maduzi hotel and it was an incredible experience. The silk sheets are unlike anything I have ever slept on and alone are worth staying here. Bangkok is always steamy hot and the AC cooled the sheets making the room all the more appealing after a day in the sun. The hotel is conveniently located... More

Thank you very much for such kind comments and we are so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. I will personally give a big applaud to our staff Nui as well! April is usually the hottest month of the year in Bangkok, and this year the heat is continuing in May. If we had been a little oasis... More

Summary - great hotel, we were upgraded to a suite as booked through SLH, which was wonderful. Pros -Lovely hotel, suite was huge and bathroom was massive. -Very sleek minimalist decor. -Coffee machine, that made cappuccinos! -Snacks provided daily including drinks, chips, etc. A nice touch. We kept nipping into the nearby 7 11 for beers, water and additional stacks.... More

Thank you very much for the 5-star review and we are so glad that you enjoyed your stay. Yes, Asoke is a great location to stay for its convenience. And, although there are many hotels near the train station, there are not so many small independent hotels like Maduzi except for budget boutique ones. You are a SLH member and... More

Hubby & I decided to book this hotel based on TA reviews as well as it being under the 'SLH' brand. (SLH = small luxury hotels) Distance : 1st & foremost, in the scotching heat of 38degrees, heat & distance became an issue. Had to walk some distance to the Asoke BTS. At my pace of a woman in her... Thank you very much for staying at Maduzi Hotel. I am so sorry that you find that Maduzi is very far from the train station. Yes, Bangkok now is very hot. And also Bangkok has many one-way traffic. If we provide a tuktuk service from & to BTS station, it will have to go all the way to the end... More

It is good to stay in this hotel, as it is a very private one. Normally guest can not come, unless you told security to let them drive in. Food is ok. Room is very nice because the interior is nice. Service level is great.

Thank you for your kind comments and we are glad that you enjoyed your stay at Maduzi Hotel. We do close the gate for 24 hours with the security. It does live up to its name, secret Bangkok gem. Stayed at the corner suite, and the room is spacious and well decorated. It has free minibar as well. The reason why I am only giving it 4 stars is because, like its name, not many taxi drivers know this place, though I can give them the address in Thai,... More

Oh no, we are so sorry! The untidiness you mentioned is not acceptable definitely! May I ask which floor you stayed in? We only have on corner suite on each floor so that we can identify. Thank you so much for staying at Maduzi Hotel and also for your comments! Yes indeed we are a small hotel and do not have a lot of leisure facilities within. We stayed 4 nights here are totally enjoyed ourselves. The highlights and reasons: 1. Location is 5 minute walk to Asok Skytrain and Sukhumvit Metro. In the Bangkok heat, you can't walk too much further comfortably. Terminal 21 mall is attached to the Asok metro and this mall has the most incredible food court. Cheap good eats on the top... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
