Great for walkers
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
The hotel is in a great location, it is a few minutes walk to train stations and around a 10-15min walk to Terminal 21. There are plenty of restaurants and bars around the hotel too. We traveled with a primary school age child and although the area had a tourist party vibe we were never hassled or felt unsafe. The hotel staff provided excellent customer service in particular the cleaner in level 6 who always stopped and talked to us and our son. The breakfast staff were also outstanding, very friendly and always willing to help. They were more than happy to take our orders for poached eggs. The breakfast had a wide variety of food and was quickly replenished. The manager came down to the breakfast room a few mornings and stopped and greeted each guest and she provided us with advice about what to do that day. The hotel is very clean. The only down side was that one treadmill in the gym was broken and the other was stuck on incline and the hairdryer cut out after a minute.

The HI Suk11 is an express hotel so not many frills are available at this hotel. Rooms are sort of small but clean bed is not that comfortable as the other HI around but acceptable. Washroom is a bit small but manageable however there are no Holiday Inn toiletries in the washroom. Housekeeping is very efficient and accommodating-great work. The breakfast is not that extensive but sufficient. Gym is small ok for a short stay but not work out equipped. One treadmill was "out of order" the other wasn't working - turns on but does the speed increase functions not working. Around the area is lively with lots of restaurants, shops, and well equipped 7-11's. There is also a 24hr Tops and another supermarket across from the hotel on the side street. Try the Jamaican restaurant on soi 11 and I also found this small Thai restaurant on soi 13 about half way up -K & B - food noodle. it's a mom and mom setup makes the food when ordered, great quality and price, well worth it. It's a small place but really exceptional food if you want to try Thai cuisine. Short walk to main street for the BTS or the public transport or walking among lots of tourists. I would stay here again but only for a short stay as I am a gym person so need equipment if ai am staying for a while.

The hotel rooms themselves offer comfortable respite, providing a welcome sanctuary after exploring the city. However, the bathrooms veer towards the vintage side. Be prepared for a slightly older aesthetic, and perhaps a shower experience reminiscent of bygone eras, where the lack of a shower door necessitates some strategic footwork.

Holiday Inn Express Sukhumvit 11, an IHG hotel, is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Bangkok. The hotel’s prime location on Sukhumvit 11 places you in the heart of a vibrant area, surrounded by restaurants, bars, and clubs perfect for a holiday getaway, a relaxing stay, or a fun weekend party.
As expected from an IHG hotel, cleanliness is top-notch. The rooms are impeccably maintained, and the wooden flooring adds a stylish touch while being easy to clean. The bed and sofa are exceptionally comfortable, making it easy to unwind, while the four pillows provided ensure a restful sleep.
Breakfast was great, with a good selection to start the day right. Additionally, the hotel lobby features The Coffee Club, offering quality coffee, drinks, and delicious meals.
Highly recommended!

Tired and worn out with facilities and services way below IHG standards even for a Holiday Inn Express and hence way below expectations. Considering that for a few Dollars more more can stay in a proper hotel instead of a youth hostel atmosphere one should consider that option. My room looked dated and with stained sofa chair covers hardly acceptable under any circumstances. The TV apart from dangling wires offers over 30 channels but at least 10 show no programme and from the few remaining only few are in English language. The working desk corner is in total darkness after sunset leaving few options during the very expensive PCR test do not leave your room days one and five. What makes matters worth is the totally beyond any standards so called food dumped in front of your door during lock down. No choice offered and stone cold simply inedible. A Ripp Off in every aspect and with 3 costly PCR costly PCR tests over 7 days its no wonder that tourists stay away. Generally speaking your staff is not very courteous and friendly including in the Coffeeshop where a rather mediocre breakfast is being ‘served’ ..............All in all very disappointing until I moved to a hotel where I feel welcome Thai Style!

Great little hotel situated bang smack in the middle of the action on Sukhumvit 11. The Check in area was a bit busy as they had folks checking in, checking out, some waiting, but in all they had me checked in pretty quickly.
Spacious rooms considering it’s a Holiday Inn Express . Hotel manned by supper efficient staff who sorted everything out in record time but also with warmth. Whatever u need is literally within a stones throw from the hotel . And they have a little section in the reception itself that sells beers , soft drinks , snacks. Check in staff also gave a solid recommendation for a spot for lunch. If your up for some live music, there's a great Bar called Hilary 11 opposite the hotel with some great live music on offer.
Some commendable sustainable initiatives they’re implementing such as shower gel and soap dispensers in the bathrooms, water in glass bottles that are re used. Check out was a breeze and they sorted out a Taxi to the airport in a few minutes.
Will definitely stay here when next in the region.

A nice budget minded hotel for a short stay. Great location, nice staff (especially the girl cleaning the foyer reception area on the day of the 23rd-a hard worker and very polite and friendly). Room was comfy and breakfast, though basic, hit the spot. Would repeat. As an aside, avoid the connected Coffee Club. I asked for a ceramic cup instead of a paper cup to drink outside. They indicated it would be an additional 10 percent for service charge. This is simply unacceptable, particularly given that it was a choice to not use a disposable cup.

The rooms are showing signs of wear and tear. Not only that, but the air conditioning broke down every so often (3 times in 6 days) for hours at a time. A matter of luck as to whether you are in at the time. Broken/missing items in my room were replaced when I asked about them, so staff did their best.
Buffet breakfast was replaced by one meal and one drink at Coffee Club downstairs. The meal options were very limited. Some of the standard breakfast items that the café sells, such as baked beans and hash browns, were not available for hotel guests. (Unless you want to buy them separately, of course.)

We enjoyed a lovely few days at the Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sukhumvit 11. We booked the hotel for Our grown up children who flew into BKK via the Test & Go scheme, & we met them there (we live in Samui). The hotel was very organised & the staff were very pleasant & helpful. The kids flight arrived in at 1315, they were tested & transported to their hotel rooms where they quarantined until their results came back negative at 8pm. We checked in separately & it was seamless. Our room was on the 8th floor. It was a standard double, which was very clean & had everything we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable & there was a choice of pillows. Our children had their quarantine food delivered to their bedrooms, including breakfast the next morning. We ate breakfast in the restaurant - so much choice. Really good experience & the staff were lovely & friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel. It was well priced, comfortable & near bars & restaurants. A solid 10/10
