Away from it all and mainly away from KSRoad madness....although only a 15 min walk. Nice rooms....clean....great staff. On my second stay here i rolled up without a booking....and they were full however they moved heaven and earth to make a room available due to one room being vacant due to electrical problems [some Farang used a wrong converter for...

A nice budget hotel near Khao San Road. If you're planning to do sightseeing (Grand Palace, Wat Pho, etc), this would be ideal. Friendly staff. The room tariff is reasonable and the breakfast options are really good.

Bunk beds, elevators that stop at landings between floors and a loud bar across the street. Not all bad things. Clean. Lovely service. Interior design is fantastic. It's close enough to Kao San rd and the party that side of town. On a main street so asking for rear facing rooms might be ok if you are bothered by street...

The good thing is that is close to Khao San Road and far enough to be quiet by night. The room was very clean, and the staff were nice and helpful. The only bad thing I can say it's that the bed was so hard, and my room had a window leading to the staircase hall, and during the night...

Nice hotel with a home style feel. Not the ritz, but the staff are great, the room was clean. The only downside was the AC didn't get real cold and the shower water fluctuated temperature wise from time to time. The breakfast in the lobby was great and well priced :-)

We didn't stay at the hotel but stopped by to have dinner, we had deep-fried cheese rolls, totally recommend. Curry chicken was announced as "a little spicy", I'd say it was very spicy for most of the western people. Anyway, chicken was delicious, and they cook very fast, we had our dishes served in 5 minutes. Cocktails are cheap, 100...

We came here just for dinner and then came back for breakfast. Very lovely place, delicious food and kind personal! Perfect cocktails with real alcohol. Breakfast, which including omlette with cheese, sausage, bread with jam and butter, juice and coffie costs 120 batt. Highly recommended!

We didn't stay over here unfortunately as we had already booked a hotel down the road but we wish we would've! We only stopped for a sandwich, fries and a smoothie which were amazing. Probably the best snack I've had in Thailand. We ended up having three smoothies because they were so good ; we had one strawberry, one watermelon...

I stayed here for 2 nights over Xmas and was overall very impressed, much better than I was expecting for a budget hotel. About 40 min drive from the airport (400 baht) and walkable to all the main spots in Banglamphu. Felt safe for lone travellers. *24 hour check in, helpful when arriving at 3.30am! *Helpful staff were able to...

- close to many tourist attractions in old town, many bus passes - nice room - food start from 7 am to late with reasonable price like 80 B, come in a big plate - no toilet door lock but wouldn't be a problem if you come with a friend - lift start from level 3, so just have to...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
