We stayed here for 3 nights on arriving into Bangkok. Room was very small, just fits the double bed with small space either side, and small side bathroom with toilet and shower. We were on the street side so a little traffic noise, would ask for a room on the other side if possible. But very clean, air con, fridge,...

Vey impressed in this cosy guesthouse. The taxi had a little trouble finding it, but once there our room was everything wecould want - wall mounted tv, toilettries, tea, coffee. It was on the smaller side, but more than adequate with lovely decor, and quiet. We booked one of the mor expensive rooms at 1400baht per night. It was located...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
