Came back to Amarin Inn for a second time which says it all! The rooms are really great for the price, the cheapest we could find in the area with an awesome location around the corner from khao San. We preferred the large room (photo) because you do get considerably more space but the small room is also just fine....

Amarin Inn is awesome! It's the cheapest place we could find in the area via hostel world. It's about two streets away from the popular Khao San Road and it's so nice and quiet at night I swear it was the first time I was able to sleep in weeks! No loud annoying party music or roosters crowing! Amazing! Plus...

We stayed here during Songkran, it is the perfect location, just close enough to get to everywhere walking wise but far enough to have no noise/crowds. Owner was great, room was huge, AC and wifi worked well. Shower in the family room needs you to hold it, have fun!

We had a lovely stay at Amarin Inn. The room was clean and the wifi was very fast. The location is great. It is in a quite alley close to good restaurants, khaosan road, 7/11, supermaket, boat and buses. But the best of all is the kindness of the staff. :) I would definetely recommend this place.

Love this place so much! Had two nights there and could have stayed more if we could, all staff who work there are very welcoming and friendly and helpful. The room me and my gf stayed in was perfect, nice comfy firm bed, tv, air con, hot shower small window and enough room for two :)) I've stayed in a...

The owner at the reception was always concerned whether our stay was satisfying, and it was. The room was very big and the bathroom wasn't a big deal smaller than at amy comparable hostel. The location is also great for backpackers as it's very close to the Khao San Road.

This hotel is located down a small alley, about 10 minutes walk from Khaosan Road. The staff are wonderfully helpful and full of smiles. We opted for a smaller room, to try and keep our costs down, but it was still well equipped with a TV, air conditioning, private bathroom, wardrobe and a desk. There is also laundry service if...

Very good budget hotel, off the main road and not far from the Khao San area. Quiet location, with good amenities nearby. The front desk lady was very helpful, friendly and English speaking. Nice, clean rooms with AC and private bathroom. Excellent value, can recommend!

only good thing about this place was probably the location, but even that wasn't so good - unless you want to be by khao san road and/or the river and pier but there is not even a skytrain close by - good if you want to be by khao san road, yet quiet (usually) at night. very good food close...

A great hotel , we stayed here for two nights and arrived early (6am) we weren't due to checkin until later, but the host made us comfortable by offering us breakfast (tea and toast) which was a nice surprise as we didn't realise this was included, and was included everyday. Breakfast runs until around 12 so no need to get...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
