We had a quick one night stay at this hostel in between tours while in Chiang Mai and we really liked it. It was a beautiful property with multiple buildings and a cute outdoor common space. The room we stayed in was huge (we had a private ensuite) and included linens, towels and toiletries. The entire space was also very...

The room was large and clean and they provided water and breakfast every day. The breakfast was a choice of a few different meals that were all very good. They also provided coffee, tea and hot chocolate all day. The staff were very friendly and helpful and always had a smile on their faces. The courtyard was a pretty piece...

This place is away from the main busy streets of Chiang Mai... never had a problem at night with loud music or loud people. The employees were always helpful and even made phone calls for me when I needed information for tours I've made online. The room we had was as advertised. Be aware, the beds are a little hard...

This place is really cosy! A real home away from home. We initially booked 2 nights, but decided to stay longer because of the nice vibe ( + we loved Chiang Mai). Stayed here with a friend in the dorm style rooms. It was a great experience. They have free toast in the common area, great bathroom set up. Very affordable. Safe. I recommend this place to all friends I know will be passing through the area.

Good: relaxed atmosphere (all green; home feeling), free breakfast, super helpful front desk people, air conditioned rooms (gets reeeally chilly in the room), facilities cleaned everyday, cheap scooter rent, cheap laundry service, restaurants from walking distance. Bad: kind of far from city center, not much backpacker interaction. Ugly: none.

Paid $30 NZD not including bfast Pros - tuktuk drivers know what time checkout is and wait at the end of the gate for convenience - down a long driveway so it's peaceful and secluded - gate locked at night for safety, you're given a key so you can come and go as you please - animal lovers, this is...

2 night stay triple rooms at Gong Kaew Huen Kum, the rooms is clean and big. You will feel relax inside the room, there's chair/area nearby the window, you can lay or sit at there to have a look at outside/reading. There's 24hrs coffee and bread provided. Need to walk around 10-15 min to have 7-11/convenience stall/food stall nearby.

Had a great time at this hostel, the bunk beds are basic but comfortable. The communal space and garden are lovely to hang out and there's free toast and coffee/tea. We rented a scooter here and booked a few day trips, which all went perfectly.
