We had a nice stay at this hotel. The room was basic but comfortable. The air conditioning and wifi worked well. The bathroom was a bit small and dated but fine overall. The location was a few minutes walk to the old town, which was great as it was close to the action but still in a quiet location. The...

I wanted to like this place; really, I did. I hate writing negative reviews. We had an a/c room and were excited for the great location. First and foremost, the location is wonderful. That is why I gave it an average rating. We enjoyed exploring the old city and the night bazaar on foot and felt we could get everywhere...

We arrived at the guesthouse at 1.30pm, the owner let us know very coldly we have to wait the checkin time (2pm). Then we got our room with twin beds, even if we specified in the booking we wanted a large one. And the room looked old and was smelling cigarette, there were ants in the bathroom. Very different from...

I was lucky to find this gem and very happy to stay there. It's a family run guest house and I felt very well taken care of. The daughter speaks very good English and went out of her way to make sure I could stay longer than my initial booking of one night. It's amusing to see the son help...

This place is well situated with a moderate walk to the temples and the night market. There were a lot of mosquitos flying around the hallways but am bit of mosquito spray stops that being an issue. The staff at the front desk were very helpful. Would come back here again.

Everything started nice and smooth. Then when we didn't book any excursions with them they stopped saying hello. They have a cleaningservice that cleans every third day... We had ants climbing our bathroomdoor. We slept well but that is about it. Very good coffee :)

Rooms are basics but nice, this guesthouse is at 5 min by walk to the nightbazar and to the old city. You can enjoy the swimming pool, and the persons who work there are friendly. We stayed 1 week and we really enjoyed Chiang Mai. We booked 2 days one night trekking with the hotel it was perfect. It s...

For budget lodgings in Chiang Mai, I would say that Thapae Garden Guesthouse exceeded my expectations. The front desk staff was very friendly, with Ann often giving me excellent recommendations on local restaurants and attractions. The breakfasts were excellent, the room was clean, the location central (an easy walk to the old city in Chiang Mai) and everyone was helpful....

Very clean and nice design. Front desk is friendly and helpful and on the day we were leaving, the little cafe (60 cafe) had just opened up. Great, strong coffee and nice little cafe design! I think this ads a good touch however, I wouldn't recommend getting a fan room! They're very hot and stuffy and have no fridge to...
