This was our second time staying with Doh and Isabell at the Jungala house and we were so excited to be able to stay with them again! This year we went during the week of Loy Krathong and Yi Peng, when hotels can fill up quickly. But Doh and Isabell were able to accommodate us for the nights and even... More

We spent 3 nights here and really enjoyed it. It's in a great location and the rooms are very good for the price. As other reviews say it can be noisy (music from bars) at night but they end around midnight. Our fan masked the noise so it was ok. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a... More

I've been to a few guest houses in Chiang Mai and this is my favourite.. I stumbled upon this while walking, looking for somewhere to stay. 2 nights turned into 4. The staff are friendly & very helpful and don't rip you off like some places.. Air con room was good and the temperature control worked! Most local things are... More

We stayed here for five nights while in town and it was very comfortable. The location is perfect right in the heart of the old city. The rooms are basic but functional and spacious. We had a fan room (with oscillating fan) room came with large queen size bed, clean sheets, bathroom needed an update but was still kept clean.... More

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Jungala House. It is in walking distance to many sites and restaurants. It is basic, as described, but the staff are friendly and the room was clean. The front desk was not always staffed, so a bit of planning had to go into check in/out, meals, and any questions we had. Overall we... More

Nice hotel. It was not the best equipped hotel but you pay so little that it is definitely worth a stay if you're on a budget. The rooms are spacious but basic and the bed was comfy. Although you are so close to the old city center, you can't hear the party noise at all! We stayed in a fan... More

We had a great stay with our 2 young children in September. The triple room was big enough for all 4 of us, and space to put travel cot. Great location, 5-10 mins walk from Gate and Sunday markets. 7-11 right across the road and larger Tesco around the corner. Lady who runs it with her husband (Isobel I think!)... More

My partner and I stayed for 4 nights (3 in a fan room room, 1 in aircon - pop for the aircon). Mr. Doh and Isabell are helpful and welcoming hosts. It is clear that they care very much about the property, their guests, and the communities in the area. The most difficult part of staying with them was tearing... More

We stayed here for 8 nights and we're absolutely satisfied. The price was very good. The room was clean and they cleaned it every three days again. The breakfast was not included but provided for a good price every morning. They arranged tours for us and even helped us a lot when I was sick. There's also a woman who... More
