Julie's is a nice hostel with a good communal area. Wifi doesn't work in the rooms but who cares, you're in Thailand...outside is much better anyway. That said, as long as you're not planning on downloading every fast and furious movie, it works fine in the communal area for photo uploads and Facebook. It isn't the cleanest but at the...

Nice backpackers hostel with basic and cheap rooms. Relaxed vibe in the cosy common space, which is the only place you receive the wifi that isnt always working very fast. Nevertheless the place I would visit again when I'd go back to chiang mai!

We paid 350 for a double ensuite which was nicely decorated, comfortable and spacious. No wifi in the room which was no problem to us but sometimes was a little slow in the communal area. Food was good and reasonable, we also realised they offered a bus to Sukothai cheaper than what we paid direct through the bus station! More...

For the prices the place is great. Single room for 150 baht is good value. Bed is comfortable enough. Fan cool enough at night. Nice open area in front of reception. Only downside - WiFi only available in communal area around reception and its so so slow. Other than that - loved my stay.

We stayed only two nights, getting a couple cheap rooms - one for our kids, one for us. If you don't mind dirty backpacker style, this place is fine. But, common area is very smoky, not great for our family. Service was lousy, as no one at the desk seemed to smile or enjoy their jobs.

Julie's is really cool! We met loads of interesting people here. There is a really cheap minibar downstairs that you put on your room and pay for at the end so it's a great drinking spot and a lot of people come here to chill out even if they're not staying at the hostel. Very cool place!

We stayed at Julie's for 4 nights after a recommendation from a friend. We booked a triple room with private bathroom. Our room was at the back of the building, away from the communal area so it was quite quiet. The beds weren't very comfortable but the room was bright and colourful. The only downside was that the room was...

Julies is a crowded place so better book in advance. The room fares are really fair, we payed 260 for a private double with bathroom and fan (in november you really don't need aircon here). The best about the guesthouse is the service, you can book any tour or transport and it does not seem to be cheaper anywhere else...

My friend and I stayed one night only, we shared a double room with shared bathroom. The place itself is really nice, hippie style, colourful rooms, nice common areas. Very cheap, good for low budget travellers. Rooms are fine, bathrooms could be cleaner, the restaurant offers many Thai and Western dishes - good price. Common area/restaurant is great to meet...
