This is a stunning hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. With beautiful colonial style decor, it has a relaxed ambiance and the spa treatment we had was amazing. I was going to the Night Market by myself and they gave me a lift in the hotel Mercedes! They also gave us a little gift when we checked out and every day, we had complimentary goodies to eat! Highly recommended
Ping Nakara does colonial style without the spectre of wallowing in a dubious imperial past. It has a special character which reminded us of a refined and unique take offered by the Iroha in Phnom Penh. The architecture, public areas and room suites ooze design style and understated comfort. Service, breakfast, and housekeeping were all first class. A great base to explore all that Chiang Mai and the surrounding area has to offer. We will definitely be back.
The hotel is beautiful and the pool is refreshing although in the afternoon the mosquitos are a bother. Breakfast is fantastic with a great menu and buffet. The staff are very nice and the location is perfect for river excursions and markets at night.
What a great boutique hotel, absolutely amazing. We loved the colonial style and elegance atmosphere the hotel breaths. Friendly and helpful staff. We loved all 3 Mercedes old timers and I really can say let the hotel arrange your transport from an to the airport. It has that extra touch when you see that old timer car at the airport. Rooms are very cosy and just as elegance as the rest of the hotel. The location was for us also good. Couple of minutes walk to the Anusarn night market and surroundings. Breakfast is good, not the largest breakfast but enough options to have a good breakfast on the patio. There is no evening restaurant in the hotel but there are plenty of restaurants available for every budget. The hotel can show you and help you with a choice of your taste.
I spent 11 nights at the beautiful Nakara Hotel. I could have written this review on the second day I was here because I didn't have a doubt it would end as beautifully as it started. The staff at this hotel goes goes out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Each and every one of them from the room cleaners to the front staff at the reception to the cooks and to all the drivers they took such great care of us they were so informative. They were so helpful. It is a place that I will always remember and miss until I come back again. The hotel itself is beautiful and tranquil and peaceful but the staff is what makes it for me.I was blessed to stay here
Our trip to Chiang Mai was a treasure and The Hotel is a beautiful gem!. The architecture is elegant. The staff is so helpful and friendly. The rooms are a good size. Our room overlooked the pristine pool. The breakfast is absolutely sumptuous. The Library had an engrossing collection of books. Loved the Art and curios displayed. The Spa treatments were amazing! My holiday was made perfect Thank you Ping Nakara.
Wonderful, charming hotel in old, colonial style with lovely interior and very friendly staff. The canopy bed is absolutely devine and the breakfast is not to be missed.... especially the French Toast mmmmmmm 😍😋 It's a place where you can instantly feel at home and just relax. True holiday feeling. Staff will also drive you in their oldtimer cars if you ask nicely and you stay within the city limits 😀
First visit to Chiang Mai, and was lucky to choose this hotel. Lovely big room with good size balcony, nice pool area, great location..just far enough from the city, the hotel will take you up to the city in one of the old Mercedes cars, and then we got a tuk tuk back, good fun !! Staff were really friendly, and would highly recommend this hotel.
I went to cheingmai and as usual stay at ping nakara like every time the facilities and staff never disappointed me. They are so friendly and helpful the hotel it self located at the heart of the city.
Having been back in Sydney for less than 48 hours, my wife and I are already missing the Ping Nakara - one of the best boutique hotels we have ever stayed in, and an oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustle of Chiang Mai. The building is stunning and absolutely loved the old Mercedes parked outside. Our room on the 3rd floor was super spacious, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was great, with many different options including freshly cooked choices. Highly recommend the French toast. We stayed for 10 nights, so really got to know the staff, who were all fantastic. My wife badly sprained her ankle in a kick boxing class, and the hotel quickly offered to take her to hospital for an X-ray. Being chauffeur driven to A&E in a vintage Mercedes is certainly something we weren't expecting on this holiday. The Spa was amazing - do try at least once. Probably our favourite memory of Ping Nakara though are all the 5pm happy hours in The Library. We completely took advantage of 1-for-1 cocktails, and loved playing chess on the large chess set they have there (the bishops are elephants, which were quick to get used to). Will definitely return to Ping Nakara one day. Highly recommended.…
