Beautiful old hotel with a lot of surrounding greenery. Very helpful staff, good food, and spacious rooms near shopping mall and local restaurants. Very good travel services for tours. Not centrally located near river or riverside restaurants but a short ride away.
Had an enjoyable stay with extended family of 10 with 2 young children aged 2. Close proximity to coffee bars and bakeries just outside the resort. Central Festival Mall a short drive away. Very attentive resort personnel. Tour desk personnel very helpful and recommend to do the tours as good experience and value for money.
We finally got there after our initial booking for April 2019, and we were were not disappointed. The style of the hotel and the grounds it sits in are beautiful, I love he warmth of the wood and style of rooms. What a vision the architect hard! The gardens are kept beautifully, I really felt relaxed and part of Thai/Lana experience. experience. Thank you to B.J. the hotel tour rep who took us up tho Chaing Rai to the White, blue Temples and Black Museum, we had a great day. Thank you to you all who made our holiday really memorable . We love Thailand and hope to return.
The hotel is dated and dirty. The room had a terrible smell. The reception is in existence and nobidybgrest you upon arrival, nor do they help you with your luggage. Standard hallways floors were dirty and had poor maintenance. It a good hotel.
Had a lovely stay with my family here. I recommend the oil massage, ask for Ging, she was really good. Also the pool was amazing. We could use the pool from another hotel due to maintenance, and it ended up just great
The reason we give happy 5 star review is because of ‘Fai’ at the spa. She was nicest and most hospitable employee we meet in all of chiang mai. Fai was so lovely, receptive, and caring for my partner who was injured at the time of visit. Fai also was very friendly, conversational to me when I come pick up partner from spa. The rest of staff was ok.
We arrived late in the hotel and the check in wasn't easy. The guy didn't speak very good english and in the system there was only one room booked ( we booked two rooms ) No problem for him so he just solved it. We went with a golf car to our room and it was very nice with a shower & bath ( jacuzzi ) Rooms are a bit older but nice. A view on the pool with a balcony was also very nice. There was a bar at the pool but never saw it open. We didn't went in the pool cause you don't really have like chairs to lay down afterwards. ( it didn't invite me to go in either ) The breakfast was OK and you have everything you need ( Thai buffet is a bit different than our buffets ) The area was very nice and quiet. So no negative points to talk about but we didn't feel like giving it a 5 on 5. Small points could get better but we would recommend this place for sure. Would I come back myself... hard one since it's a very quiet place so for resting it is good but a bit further away from the center. But people would love this place and since we organise travels i would think about coming back.…
This would be my 3rd trip to this resort since Covid. We were shocked to witness what once was a great place now a shadow of its former self. Agreed by the resort and confirmed we were given a pool access room, but due to the team getting this, it was not possible on arrival. We were not greeted in the normal thai way and the front team came across as uninterested. Due to an error of the resort they gave us a spa suite at the time that seemed nice. Once we got taken to the room the first one was dirty, with broken doors. We moved to another sutie, no broken doors but the area was not that clean. Like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. later I discovered how bad the room was. The Sauna was full of spider webs, and insects this area has not seen a clean in some time. The outside bath was grimey and the floors were not great either. Planning of cleaning the room with the resort was mismanaged, and we had to go out for some time to calm down. The pool area is big, but not that clean, the resort doesn't check the pool areas, and the dishes are just left there for days. Shame the grounds are nice. The breakfast area lacks appeal with no effort made. The food was not good quality so we missed breakfast. We spoke with management about all issues, and we were offered free meals or spas. We didn't want freebies we just wanted a clean relaxing area. I have gotten bed bug bites, I never get bitten when I come to Thailand so I was done at this point. We learned that the resort has no General manager, they sacked him to save money. They lied to my partner and put in a fake manager pretending to be the boss, he ended up laughing at my partner when we brought issues up. Because we didn't accept the free offer they said they would phone the police on us. I have never been treated in this way before. My partner was calm but was a bit mad when the team wanted to get the police on us for not taking a free meal or spa. I didn't sleep that night. We checked out 3 days early because of how bad this resort was. My partner got us a full refund that the resort promised us due to how badly they released they done. again the fake management team fought this was funny, we had to leave due to cleanliness, poor food, pool management, and lack o customer service. There was only one nice person at the resort who helped us with our bags and transferred us to our new hotel. I feel so sorry for him, he thinks he was in the wrong. He did no wrong and the so-called management team should be ashamed. I recommend no one stays at this resort. There are far better ones in the area.…
I am torn on this review as in some ways this quiet out of town spa hotel was good but in others it just felt a bit old. I stayed for 3 nights - What I liked - pool looked great, it was quiet, the shower was great and they gave you water each day. Breakfast was ok. What could be better - staff where not particularly friendly, I didn’t realise there was even a shuttle so took the 300 baht taxi into town. Finally I just thought the place looked and felt like it was a little dated. If I were you and visiting Chiang Mai I’d stay in town. I certainly would next time.
Khun Fay gave us professional advice for spa package…her patience, good service mind and details knowledge for spa is exceptional… Thanks of her advice we finally chose Thai body balance… Thank you for this relaxing and magical moment…
