We stayed at Baan Boo Loo for 4 nights over the Loi Krathong/ Yi Peng festival weekend. Chiang Mai was an amazing place to be that weekend! The team at the guest house were friendly without being too much and they more than went the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed the festival by helping us make krathongs and...

We've just returned from our honeymoon in Cambodia and Thailand, Chiang Mai and Baan Boo Loo was a 3 night stop. Lovely comfortable guesthouse with a balance between traditional and mod cons. There was a lovely community feel with the other guests, chatting over breakfast at the large outdoor seating area. We were also invited to join a dinner with...

Wonderful experience! The guest house is very clean and the typical thai architecture is greatl. But the most wonderful aspect is the kindness of the staff. They welcome you like if you were part of their family and they make you experience a wonderful stay in a thai style! Wonderful place to stay!

I'm ashamed that it has taken me so long to write about my experience at Baan Boo Loo. I stayed there almost about a year ago and I still think of how peaceful and beautiful it was! (I actually visualize the place when I have trouble getting to sleep or when I'm stressed ... that's how wonderful it was.) The...

I was doing a trip with my friend for 4 days in Chiang Mai. Baan Booloo was a very nice place, beautiful and very clean room and very quiet. The location is in the heart of old town of Chiang Mai, so that we could walk to many important temples and places. The hosts were very nice and very helpful....

Ohn, Adisak and the rest of the team here were so lovely, we felt like we were staying with friends. Our 5 year old daughter says its the best place she has ever stayed - I think Mimi and her two kittens had a lot to do with that ;-) as well as the friendly chickens and rooster. The grounds...

I cannot find enough wonderful things to say about our stay Baan Boo Loo. I received friendly, comprehensive correspondence from Adisak via email as soon as I had submitted our booking, which continued in the lead up to our stay. We were picked up from the airport without any problems and arrived to a very warm welcome at the tranquil...

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and I loved the way the bathroom, terrace and generally the bungalows were decorated.Stayed several days and had to change bungalows four times because it was fully booked, but that way we also tried them all, except one. Beautiful and very autentic.Recommend it specially for them interesting in decoration.... Regards from Norway

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A unique small Thai country village style guesthouse with surrounding wooden villas, hammocks, country garden, outdoor lounges with lots of arts and wood carvings. Visitors should be aware that this is a very natural setting. There are many kinds of creatures in the gardens Some bathrooms are semi open air and mosquitos are omnipresent as in the most part of Chiang Mai. We use mosquito netting in bedrooms as well as using air-conditioning, fans and mosquito repellents and creams free of charge. Guests are advised to wear loose fitting clothing with long sleeves and leg coverings in the early mornings and early evenings or to use a good strength anti mosquito spray. Sunny daytimes are mostly mosquito free. Hard to believe but BaanBooLOo Village seems completely cut off from the noise of the city centre yet is only 15 minutes from Chiang Mai International Airport. It is without question the quietest location in all of central Chiang Mai. We are in the central historic Old City Inner Moat area just 5 minutes walk from the major landmark Wat Pra Singh temple known by all in Chiang Mai. We provide a comprehensive and hearty Thai and International breakfast from 7am until 10am. We do cater for early start breakfasts and special dietary needs. Guests are recommended to discuss any special needs upon check-in. We have a quiet policy after 10pm as these are wooden houses and respect for neighbours is paramount. We also have an outdoor late lounge area with music and drinks until around midnight which is separate from guest rooms to avoid sleep disturbance. There are late night bars, jazz club and eateries all within 20 minutes walk or a short tuk tuk ride for around 100 baht. Most venues are open until around 1am. A handful are open until the early hours. Our concierge service includes helping guests to plan activities/spas/trekking plus advice on events in and around the city. This service is impartial and is included in the room charge. We would never recommend tourist service companies with animal cruelty reputations. BaanBooLOo Village is a 'green' environmentally friendly organisation evolving gradually. Our long term goal is to create a green oasis in the form of a living museum in the historic old city walls. ... more   less
