This was an good place to stay in the middle of the city. The location was really nice, beside an active mall with a fun Thursday to Sunday market out front. That market was my favorite thing about the hotel as it had great street food. The hotel itself has had better days, Otis a bit faded. But for a...

Nice place to stay on a budget. The hotel is past its prime but definitely worth staying in even on a budget. Beds were ok as were the bathrooms but just OK. Consider some rooms as being definitely no frills yet clean and comfortable.

We chose this hotel because I ended up getting sick from travel and we had to cancel a trip to Pai. Our first hotel had really hard beds and I was looking for something better especially since I was stuck in one for sometime. Needless to say this place is a good choice for their beds alone. The thing that...

The hotel has nice rooms and soft beds (our last hotel in Chiang Mai they were rock hard, which is the reason we moved here). The pool is nice and the rooms and amenities were nice. The location is very central and the hotel is very established and reputable. Princess Diana and other members of royalty have stayed here in...

This hotel has a marvellous history, many Royals including Princess Diana have stayed here. It has a certain grandeur which is most appealing, you certainly know you are a guest here. We took an executive room on the top floor, it was large and very well appointed. Real value for money. Recommended.

From the outside, the hotel really looks good. Very convenient to the shopping centre which is right beside it. From the outside, the hotel really looks good. Our room was massive however seemed outdated, and water was leaking, so really needed refurbishing on the inside. I wonder about the use of the telephone as I was told you cannot make...

We stayed at the CM Orchid as part of a large conference. My main impression is that it was just a bit tired and in serious need of modernisation. Pros 1. Comfortable bed, we slept well 2. Had good TV channels - could watch Wimbledon! 3. Breakfast was pretty good Cons 1. Ancient decor (although reasonably well maintained) 2. Wifi...

At one time this was the grandest hotel in Chiang Mai. It has hosted the King and Queen of Thailand, the Emperor of Japan, and Prince Charles and Diana It is still an important meeting place for local businesses and others. I will explain others later. However, while it has a very good restaurant, first class service and a great...

This is a top class hotel. The swimming pool was a bit green but the water was clean. All you can eat breakfast and spacious rooms. Rooms include a mini bar, lock safe, tv area and flat screen tv. In a good part of town with a convenience store on the other side of the street. Lovely accommodating staff. Allocated...

My friend and I did not stay at this hotel, but paid 150 B each to use the swimming pool - which is really a lot of money for a dirty looking pool surrounded by dusty tables, manky deckchairs and an abandoned bar. The towels we were given (included in the price, but we had to search for them, by...
