We are so glad we selected Tamarind village. We wanted to stay in the old town and this location was perfect. Except Tamarind village is like a town within a town. As you enter all the hustle and bustle from the outside disappears and you...More
We’ve spent a fabulous 4 nights where the accommodation and facilities are second to none. However the real jewel in the crown are the staff. Each and everyone genuinely wants to help and make your stay perfect in every way,
customer service at its best.
This is a definite must do for everyone's 'bucket list.' Can you picture yourself here?

This was my second time at the hotel and it was wonderful to be back. The hotel is so peaceful and beautiful. The staff cannot do enough for you and remembered me from my first visit two years ago. My only regret is that I...More
The Tamarind Village is a lovely traditional hotel. Right in the centre of the old town but felt very peaceful - during the day at least!
The room we had was small and a little cramped but had everything we needed. If we visited again...More

Hi Disco. There are a number of cooking classes available nearby. I'd check with reception (very helpful) on arrival or otherwise ask at a local eatery for a suggestion. There's no sauna but the hotel has a day spa with a varied treatment menu although you can probably find a much cheaper alternative outside the hotel. Again, just ask the locals. Have a great time!

The hotel has all the mod cons there is a hairdryer and toiletries in the room the staff are very very helpful and can make bookings for you although you are not in the main part of the city it is only a short distance away and they have tut tuts which are really cheap at the end of the driveway and they can take you anywhere in the city. We ate at the restaurant but found it a bit expensive for what we got, breakfast was great There plenty of places to get a message really cheap also . There are walks that the hotel will take you on to temples and sights around Chiang Mai And on Sunday night they close the streets off and have the night markets ( worth going too ) and it’s right out the front of the hotel. You won’t be sorry if you book this hotel. StephenTC
