My boyfriend and I were for 2 weeks in Thailand and we traveled from Bangkok, Hua Hin, Ko Tao, Ko Samui and we must say that this was the best last minute stay we got so far in Thailand. The receptionist were very helpful and patient when booking for different tourist attractions, an older lady (must be the owner) was... More

Definitely recommend Sri Pat if you're staying in the Old City. There may be cheaper guest houses out there, but with things being so inexpensive in Thailand, I didn't find it necessary to pinch pennies, and stayed at Sri Pat for about $32/night in the slow season. The hotel is clean, the location is good, the wifi is reliable, and... More

For my budget which was under £18 per night they provided everything that I needed for a comfortable stay in Chiang Mai, swimming pool, clean and comfortable beds, excellent shower, good in room wifi, lots of plugs, kettle, hairdryer, fridge and air-con. There have been come complaints about the lack of... More

Had one night in the standard room - very small and not at all inviting. Then one night in the upgrade room and it was SO much better with not a huge increase in the tarrif. also a pool for when the heat gets to you.

So I needed to keep remembering that I was only paying £20 a night for a twin room, I'm only paying £20, I'm only paying £20. The best things about this hotel is the location and the staff. The location is great in the old city within walking distance to most of what we wanted/needed. The young girls that were... More

In the middle of the old city, which is walking distance to a lot of the attractions: temples, boxing arena, night market. The wifi was very bad. You had to be at the main lobby to really connect to wifi. In addition, the amount of mosquitoes in the lobby ate me alive. So the choice was wifi or being part... More

We stayed here because some other friends were already staying and figured it was in a good location. That is true, but needing consistent wifi is important, and the wifi kept dropping all the time. Having a pool was great, but it was so nasty we couldn't enjoy it. It was completely filled with algae, green and disgusting. There was... More

Stayed at this guesthouse in 2006 and it is pretty much the same - the furnishings in the room are still very new. The room is very comfortable. There is a nice lobby and swimming pool (even though we had no time to use it). The staff are all very friendly and helpful. There are many nice cafes in the... More
