Last week, it was our third stay in Baan Orapin. And we will be back again for one night this week. It's probably one of the best guesthouse not only in Chiang Mai but in Thailand (or in South East Asia). It's genuine, it's not a hotel (so don't expect a room service at 11PM) but a guesthouse, with four...

My husband and I stayed at the Baan Orapin for 5 days in July. We very much enjoyed our experience there. The old lanna style building is beautiful but only used as the reception area, for internet access and breakfasts. The rooms are located at the back and front of the property - we stayed at the back in a...

Baan Orapin is a great place to stay. Little over our budget but well worth it. Around a beautiful and quiet garden with swimming pool (salt, no chloride). The main building, a colonial wooden house, is only used for brwakfast. The rooms at the back are most tranquil because at the front there may be some trafic noise. Rooms are...

We really enjoyed our stay at Baan Orapin. The rooms are lovely, the overall environment is quiet and serene and the service is wonderful. The location offers quite a different scene to that of the night market area, a bit more authentic thai, less westernised. Although there are pleanty of places nearby for the westerners. Yes I saw the white...

I have stayed at Baan Orapin several times- solo, with friends, and with family. After spending a year in Chiang Mai, there is no other place to stay I would recommend more highly than this B&B. Surrounded by trees and northern Thai architecture, you feel as though you are miles away from town when in reality you are just a...

My wife and I travelled to Chiang Mai for the first time and stayed for 9 nights at Bann Orapin. It was simply a wonderful experience. We were collected from the airport about 10pm and whisked to this santuary. The bunglow was superb clean large and well equipped. Its set in beautiful gardens and there was no where better to...

We returned to Chiang Mai after a twelve month absence. Checked back into Baan Orapin and it was if we hadn't been away. The service and hospitality was still fantastic. The rooms amazingly comfortable and well thought out. The pool - incredibly refreshing particularly after bike riding in 41 degrees. The hardest choice was which "set" to have for breakfast...

We chose the Baan Orapin solely on the basis of reviews here on Trip advisor and we were not disappointed. We were travelling with our two daughters 16 and 11. Our next stop was crazy Patong so we wanted to show them a little culture in Chiang Mai and the Baan Orapin helped us out nicely. We loved the rooms,...
