I stayed two nights, my room wasn't cleaned. The pool is not cleaned very often and it only takes a day for it to look disgusting. I didn't see anyone swim in it whilst there. For 700 baht for an air conditioned room this place offered nothing special with no use of the internet or breakfast included. There are plenty...

Smile house was a great place to stay for the pool and locations. The non-aircon fan room I stayed in was stuffy and average, a bit dark. The bathroom was lackluster and felt a bit old. They have free wifi, but you have to pay for the computers. The best part, hands down was the pool areas and common spaces-...

I chose Smile House due to it's wifi, location and the pool. However I was generally disappointed. The wifi was absurdly rubbish, and not until the last day did I discover that there was an additional 'paid' wifi service - I had asked about the terrible wifi connection to be told it just wasn't that good, no alternative was offered....

This venue is badly run-down. The room I stayed in was dark, fairly dirty and generally depressing. The bed was very firm, but that seems to be typical of Thailand so I considered it fun culture shock. I was woken up by various things early in the morning. The shower was a thoroughly miserable experience due to it being very...

It had a Decent breakfast menu, though it was not included in the price. The staff weren't very happy or chatty. They mostly moped around. This property held everything from young travelers to families with kids. Beds were stained. Showers were dirty. Most rooms have only fans (AC rooms are more expensive). Lots of bugs inside the room. A roach...

The rooms are very old and durty, there shoud be internet but its only working a few minutes an hour. The beds are hard as stone and you hear every sound any guest makes. Some people start their day 06:00 others do not. Breakfast is cheap but uneatable bad, you can very good coffie in the shop around the corner....

The rooms were average value with air-conditioning and quite clean. The bathroom was ok but the shower was shocking and was effectively a stream of water, like a tap but harder to use. The communal area was comfortable and the pool was pleasant and a nice place to cool off after walking around the heat of chiang Mai. The staff...

We arrived with reservation, after recommendation from LP and paid 450Baht for a fan room. This was our first real guesthouse we had ever experienced, so we did not check the room, we just took it. Big mistake. There were cobwebs all over the place, the toilet was scary and dark, ants everywhere, an awful spring-y, lumpy mattress, bad water...

We stayed at Smile House for 4 nights, in an A/C room. For what they charge (700 baht), we expected a lot more: The rooms aren't very clean, the bathroom is very basic, the public zones aren't being cleaned often enough, the breakfast is pricey for what you get, etc. The place has a cool pool, which is an advantage,...

We arrived in Chiang Mai without having any reservation. Our first two choices were sadly full so we picked this one out of the latest version of the Lonely Planet. When we arrived there were only two rooms left. We decided to stay in the AC room for 600 baht for the first night and the second and third night...
