We stayed at Chaba House for two of the three weeks that we were in the Chiang Mai area. We had a two-level room with private bath along the pretty garden courtyard for 620 baht per night; ours was right next to the kitchen area. I will say that the kitchen could be a bit noisy starting at 5:30am with...

I think this is slightly over rated than what I expected. The reviews that I read in trip advisor I thought it's great great place in terms of price and it's location and standard of the rooms. The first thing I was slightly put off because the owner Mr. Pahom did not give me any time to sit down and...

I loved my stay here, Pathom and his wife are both great. On the first day, they took me out and showed me the surrounding area, whic helped a lot. Breakfast was great, and they are very helpful if you want to organize cooking courses or trekkings. The place is very clean and taken care of. No bugs or anything...

lovely place, nice staff clean rooms, decent breakfast included, but unfortunately way further out than expected. costs 100 baht every time you want to go into main city area which adds about 200baht a day to your budget. really is a nice place if you want to be away from it all but if you want a bit of excitement...

And it was 6th January, 2012, i arrived in Chiang Mai to stay in this beautiful Guest House for 5 weeks. I had great friendships there. In Chaba House, you become...

The location was terrible. If you have a motorbike, good for you, you're going to need it. My room was appalling. It was dirty and hadn't been properly cleaned (last person's dinner leftovers in the room). It felt more like a prison cell. The owner is helpful but I left after a night. No way am I ever going back.

Chaba House is a great place to stay. The owner is very friendly and helpful without being pushy. There is a fantastic breakfast included in the price of the room. The rooms are very good value but you get what you pay for as they are a little shabby. Chaba House is very good place to stay if you are...

I just spent 3 weeks at Chaba House while studying Thai Massage at TMC. I highly recommend this guesthouse for students or trekkers who are looking for great service, a good price and a quiet place to retreat. It is located outside the hub of the "old city" although it is very easy to catch a Songtow (red bus) for...
