Relaxing restaurant on the river, good food, great range of drinks and reasonable prices. The guesthouse is good, clean accommodation. Friendly staff. Choice of Thai and international meals on all day menu.

stayed one week; they have created an atmosphere of the country inside the city; rooms, rates are fine; owners and staff are very friendly; the veranda is on the river under old huge trees and is quite nice; food is fine; other Top restaurants are close by (recommend Natwat and the restaurant right next door); have tuk-tuk; walking on the... We picked this spot because we didn't feel like being right in the hussle and bussle of old town. It's about a 20min walk from the NE edge of the old city, tuktuks cost us anywhere from 70-100 to get in to town. Not many restaurants on your doorstep but a good selection about 10/15mins walk down the river. Didn't... More

We were excited to stay here. Online photos promised a tranquil and charming place by the river, but what we saw and experienced was quite the opposite. We didn't get a good vibe as soon as we entered; we were stared at by several pairs of eyes and it felt as if we were intruding in someone's home. Our room... More

Hollanda Montri Guesthouse is situated on the river's edge, in a quiet location, but close enough to walk to the 'old city'. The restaurant/lounge area has a relaxing ambiance, and the menu has a great selection of both Thai & western style cuisine at fair prices. Our room was clean & spacious, with a private bathroom, hot shower, & ground... More

We stayed here in November 2015 and it was so perfect for our family. Being just outside the thick of it was a great advantage as it was quiet and peaceful to return to after a days venturing. The staff were amazing in particular Sawad (thankyou!), always helpful and thoughtful and even took care of my mother when she took... More

The hotel was pretty nice. It is important to notice that it is a bit far from old city center (30 minutes walking). Nonetheless, it is very relaxing and the restaurant is nice but not cheap - very good for relaxing during breakfast and dinner time (at this time you hear music from the restaurant close by which was quite... We stayed here for one night as a stop over before a trip to Pai, the staff were very friendly and they had overbooked which meant we got to stay in the more expensive room for no extra cost. The room had air con, a fan, a fridge, coffee and tea making facilities, a four poster bed with a separate... More

“Consider booking the 2nd floor, as first- floor room windows look out into a narrow causeway and cinder- block wall. Assuming they will acknowledge you had made the request in the first place. ( reader, up to you to decide who to believe - could kick myself for not having obtained a written confirmation of the room type.) This is a low-end hostel - we were disappointed, as previous reviews had lead us to expect better. Truly sorry to have to make this report.”
