My friend and I looked forward to our trip to Chiang Mai and were impressed with Pingviman's hotel facade and environment as well as the room. However we were very disappointed during our 4 days 3 nights stay there as; 1. Both the receptionists were curt and not helpful, they were not friendly and did not have any hospitality skills. First rule in hospitality industry is to greet your guests with a smile and wish them. This was seriously lacking from both the Front office staff. 2. The room's cleanliness was not up to par. When we requested the housekeeping staff to re-clean the room, the housekeeping staff came in and showed her displeasure by banging the vacuum around, mumbling under her breath and left in a huff without a response when we told her thank you for her service. It's a pity since the hotel's is beautiful and the architecture is authentic but this is spoiled by the staff's attitude. Even the coffee house staff were the same. We noticed that the treatment given towards the white guests was different from the Asian guests like us. Are we paying a different rate from white people that warrants a difference in attitude towards us.

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful Oasis in Chiang mai. The rooms are spacious, very clean and the beds very comfortable. They provide several free waterbottles and housekeeping every day. Every staff member is polite and friendly. Lovely pool and good breakfast. Top notch in every sence. Thank you so much for an excellent stay!

We stayed at the Pingviman Hotel in Chiang Mai on our Honeymoon in December. The hotel is in the perfect location and you can access most places quite easily by foot, motorcycle, bicycle or tuk tuk. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. One of the highlights of this hotel was the concierge, Art. He helped us find some incredible activities to do, at really competitive and affordable pricing. We really enjoyed the activities he recommended for us. Something I will say is that the cleanliness could be slightly better and the rooms could use a deep clean post-Covid. Breakfast was also very basic in comparison to some of the other hotels we stayed at in Thailand. Overall is was a lovely stay and hassle-free experience and we would stay here again.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, lots of dark wood in Thailand old style, rooms were lovely too, comfy beds in spacious bedrooms. The pool was nice but as in a courtyard in the middle of the hotel it never really got the sun, nor did the sun loungers. No food available other than the breakfast, which was ok, There was a small bar of sorts, but very poorly stocked😢

This hotel is an oasis in Chiang Mai old city. We had a very large 3 adult room. It was very comfortable and clean. We loved everything about this hotel, the wonderful refreshing swimming poo, its quietness, the location, the facilities and the staff. The staff were extremely helpful and kind and were there 24/7 to assist you with a smiling face. We highly recommend, we cannot wait to return to this beautiful hotel.

My friends and I really enjoyed this hotel. It is a unique hotel that you can only see in Chiang Mai. It's definitely not like other franchaised hotels. Front desk staff was friendly and the rooms were spacious with a balcony that looked out to the pool. All the furnishing are made out of carved wood. Very vintage looking.

The Pingvamin Hotel, just within the walls of Old City Chiang Mai, is beautifully decorated with traditional Northern Thailand/Lanna wood carvings and other decor. The rooms are also decorated with the same Lanna style theme. There is a beautiful courtyard/pool area with a Koi pond and lush flora. The staff were very pleasant and always helpful. My third floor room had a balcony that overlooked the pool/courtyard and I was very satisfied with the accommodations. The only area that I feel could use an upgrade was the breakfast which albeit wasn’t bad, it was quite average. I would definitely stay at the Pingvamin Hotel again.

Lovely, quiet hotel within the city walls. Rooms were very spacious in traditional Thai style with a large bath and great shower. Garden area and pool were a welcoming oasis from the heat and we loved listening to the sound of the frogs when we walked by. Overall, we loved this hotel and it was fantastic value for money. The only area that could be improved was breakfast, but we could always find something to eat and for what we paid then it didn’t detract from our stay. There are plenty of eating places outside the hotel if you want to go elsewhere.

We loved that the hotel was decorated in Thai style. Our triple room was HUGE. We had the triple room because all the double rooms were booked already. The price was reasonable, and the staff was very friendly, especially Lee at the front desk, and Chisa at the expeditions booking desk. The breakfast buffet was good but a little disorganized and slow compared to other buffets we’ve been to in Thailand. Definitely recommend this hotel

The absolute best hotel I've ever stayed in. Its a glorious traditional building with genuine old world charm. There are giant koi fish in beautiful ponds, croaking frogs as you walk through to the rooms. Every effort has been made with the decor and facilities. Carved bed head, gorgeous bathroom, stained glass doors, beautiful tiles, carved wardrobes etc. Literally so beautiful we didn't want to leave. Staff all excellent, breakfast very good. Its such a beautiful place and so peaceful the only improvement that could be made is to make it adults only, as it seems rather wasted on screaming kids by the pool or at breakfast. But thats not a huge deal, and whatever keeps this hotel going is worth it. Thank you so much Pingviman, what an amazing place!
