The Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya garners applause for its beachfront location and array of amenities, including diverse dining options and a dynamic pool area. While rooms are commended for cleanliness and size, some guests note the need for an update in decor and better soundproofing.
The staff's exceptional service is frequently highlighted, enhancing guest experiences, though opinions on value for money are divided, with a few critiques on prices. Despite some calls for brighter bathroom lighting and modernized atmosphere, the vibrant, music-themed setting strikes a chord with many travelers.

Detailed Reviews
First visit to this hotel and loved it. We usually stay in North Pattaya but this is hotel is in a great location, 10mins walk to Terminal 21 and the same to Mikes Shopping Centre. After a quick check in showed to our room which was spacious and spotlessly clean, no balcony as they incorporated it into room space , but rooms are available with balcony. Only ate breakfast in hotel which was first class , Pool area great and all staff couldn’t have been nicer. We were there when the Covid started and the hotel was very quick to do whatever they could to reduce any risk to customers. Hand sanitizer everywhere , spraying sunloungers and tables poolside with antibacterial spray, removing some dining tables so there was more space between diners and even giving us serving spoons along with our cutlery on every table. I could go on , they were really on the ball. The hotel was quiet due to restricted travel in some countries so some pool activities were cancelled. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel. For families there is a great kids pool , even a sandy beach . Hopefully returning in October.

Great Hotel attention to detail was perfect, the rock royalty level well worth the upgrade price
They have done an amazing job from top to bottom. No detail has been overlooked. It is a testament to the fact that you can have a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location and still set yourself miles apart with an amazing staff and wonderful service. From the moment we arrived everyone had a smile on their face and did everything they could to make me feel welcome.
The rooms are comfortable and incredibly well designed. I stayed in rooms with great views of the ocean. Anything you need is a quick phone call away. Or you can just pop your head in the VIP lounge and ask someone for help...there are no shortage of willing participants.

Central location on Pattaya Beach. Lobby area is a little dated and check in was slow despite not being busy. Rooms are comfortable, beds excellent, and shower room adequate, although a bit dark as it's all coloured in black. What a shame they removed all the balconies and created larger indoor floor space, the views out to see are great especially from the higher floors.
Pool is excellent with plenty of sun beds, on Saturday they added at least 30 extra beds to cope with higher demand. Pool area can often be noisy with music, pool games and groups drinking.
Breakfast was OK, but I would have liked more choice, the cooked options were consistently cold as the heat lamps seemed next to useless.
Nice outside area to eat/drink on outside deck by Hard Rock Cafe, but the prices are exorbitant, and well in excess of any other venue in Pattaya, 699baht for burger and 399baht for cocktails - other hotels are far cheaper and often have happy hours, Hard Rock Hotel only has 1 hour on Saturdays at pool bar.

Had been looking forward to my first Post-COVID getaway with a treat by staying in one of their suite rooms, but unfortunately will not be returning to stay with them again anytime soon. The room was adequate, if not a little dated and the huge oversized sofa was surprisingly uncomfortable. The bathroom was enormous, but the shower was VERY tiny. Impossible to turn around without bumping into the fixtures! Also, we paid for a "seaview" but it was only possible to view the sea by leaning over the railing to look right.
Further, they're taking the "covid precautions" to the extreme, even though Thailand has had no new local cases in more than 2 months. They've installed thick plexiglass at the check in counter, so it was impossible to hear staff without leaning over to listen though the space at the bottom. The rock royalty lounge is closed, even though other similarly priced hotels in the area have theirs open. The soul lounge downstairs and the Hard rock cafe on Beach Road are also completely shut down. Also, no happy hour at the pool and not many shaded areas to lounge in.
Speaking of the pool, it was impossible to relax by the pool as their were kids' activities going on at the pool all afternoon with a staff member squawking into a poolside loudspeaker at the small same group of children encouraging them to run the same races over and over again. So if you "energetic" noisy children, then this is definitely the place for you! If you are a couple trying to enjoy a beach getaway...not so much!
Lastly, breakfast was underwhelming, and it seems like they may be cutting costs by skimping on food quality. The first morning we basically all got the same sad little plate of chewy bacon, cold sausages, beans and eggs. The second morning they'd opened the buffet and the quality had improved somewhat! Although, social distancing had gone out the window!

Great location between beach and second road, can enter from either road on foot or rear in vehicle.
Air con constantly running, room stat at 30 degrees , room at a chilly 19 or less so not comfortable at all! Staff all pleasant.
Too many Rude chinese people with very poor hygiene practices at breakfast for my liking.
Lovely rooms and pool area, rock cafe area music very loud and place very empty!
Nice place but probably overpriced for Pattaya..Tourist catchment i guess!

Response from HRHP19, General Manager at Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya
Responded 7 Feb 2020
Dear Chris, Thank you for staying with us on your recent visit to Pattaya and for your feedback. I am happy that you enjoyed our hotel in general, and found its location convenient. Price-wise, we are in fact about the same as other hotels of a similar quality, but this largely depends on the period of stay and the season. We’ll certainly check the air-conditioning and ensure any faults are rectified. As for some of the guests’ behaviour, it is a fact that our client mix is varied, with guests from about 20 nationalities at any given time, and most will have different behavioural norms, to a greater or lesser extent. But I’m sorry to hear that you were concerned with their hygiene practices, and I will ask my colleagues to monitor more closely. As for the Café, our pricing does follow in general the levels for all the Cafes around the region, as we all adhere to the same recipes and costs of production. Thank you once again for sharing your experiences with us. We are looking forward to welcoming you back, and please do not hesitate to contact us to make any arrangements. Warmest regards, Jorge C Smith General Manager

We arrived late January and are currently still here so wanted to do an up to date review.
On arrival we had to do a Covid test which our 4 year old hates however the staff were incredibly helpful and when she found out all she needed to do was a saliva sample it was easy to get her to do the test.
The meet and greet team were informative, friendly and couldn’t offer anymore assistance.
Once checked in we went to our room on the 10th floor with a city view which was fine, a huge comfy bed, tv with not many channels but some free to view movies, tea coffee, water and a fridge.
The housekeeping staff were the best we’ve come across in Thailand ever and Tom was superb.
Every member of the team remembered our names and made a point of saying hello or asking if we needed anything.
The pool is huge and fairly warm, there’s a nice pool bar and some slides in a kids pool. The pool staff are entertaining and on certain days kids activities are provided in the pool.
The kids club is 100 baht an hour but includes a free toy or painting set and again very friendly staff.
Breakfast was a bit restricted due to low numbers in the hotel but the choice was still good and if you wanted something else they would accommodate you if possible.
We are a few times in the restaurant and became friends with many of the team.
It took us a week to find out there’s a kids menu which we would have benefitted from earlier but once we found it we used it.
Charlie on security was always smiling and helpful, the whole security team are cheerful and take great care of your safety to ensure only guests are allowed in.
There are plenty of no smoking areas which is great for us but smokers are also looked after in separate areas.
We were lucky to have chosen this hotel after years of just driving past and we will certainly return on future visits.
100% the staff make this a memorable trip and we look forward to seeing them again soon.

I am not going to complain on having no club benefits due to the pandemic situation in which I do not find it reasonable whatsoever. During my stay, I have found some simple mistakes but important enough for the management to reconsider their actions.
1. Repetitive breakfast menu during high occupancy weekend with very limited selection, not to mention some quality and taste issues.
2. Limited menu in hotel outlet and room service. For example, Pizzeria without pizza and only 1-2 choices of pasta dishes.
Having no more than a few Thai dishes on the menu is a complete disgrace. BTW Indian set was good but I doubted if it's a hit or miss when the majority of guests now are local Thai.
3. About the pricing, can make it more affordable. While this hotel room rate barely touch ฿2,000 /night, meal can run for ฿1,000 for 2 dishes. Make more sales, guys. This is not a good time to be profit exuberant.
4. Pool Activities are fun and enjoying by all guests. Foam party can be the next best thing to happen soon.
5. Kids play room was dull and looked deserted. Perhaps a few outdoor actions and games can bring more fun to crowd of children during weekends.
6. Suites and club floor had no dedicated check-in/out line. No extra treatment for suites guest except daily fruit plate which wasn't bad but not good enough for the valued guests. This has nothing to do with the virus. Go figure, please.
I might return when the hotel comes to senses that how much we local want to help out during this crisis by bringing in more business therefore the hotel needs to serve us what we deserve. Don't expect miracle to shine through, not any time soon.
It might be a one-time opportunity to entice more locals to your property or to drive them away forever.

Revisited Thailand in November 2019 with a bunch of my friends for a girls trip. I couldn't pass staying at the Hard rock!
Booked rock royalty and upgraded to pool view upon check in.
Check in process is on the rock royalty floor. The staff were lovely and gave a personal touch by welcoming me back.
A personalised card was also in the room, welcoming me for being a returning customer.
It was lovely to be back, especially after a few days on Koh LAN, this place feels like home!
I really can't fault this place! The location is perfect, if you want to go to walking street, take the baht bus. Access to the hotel is from beach road and second road. Close to central festival, and short baht bus to terminal 21.
My friend fell in love and said it was the best hotel of the trip and we stayed at other resorts within Thailand.
Pool staff were great fun and engaging, although it was quiet compared to the time I visited in March, they still made an effort to engage with guests.
Whenever I feel I need a break, I am always tempted to book a week in Thailand just so I can go relax at the Hard rock!

I never regret to book this Hard Rock Pattaya. I have one night using Rao Tiew Duay Gun promotion for Thais promoting domestic tourism. Since the booking process, K Fluke helped me with prompt response, informative and yet very professional and that made my stay really smooth. The club room on 9th floor this trip is such an amazing choice if you're looking for great space with stunning Pattaya beach view from your room. The check in by K Ning's team, K Ann and Nong Gift are superb, no doubt why a lot of Thai and international guests chose this beach resort destination. The pool is a must visit too, K Sake and team entertained me whole afternoon, I loved the vibes of pool activities plus great and unique designs of this lovely pool, great for your Instagram shots/posts. Hard Rock Cafe's moon deck bar is the best, the view, the band that plays both great international and Thai repertoire. Breakfast is the best in town, delicious and easy going, pool view helps you to feel more appetite. Always great choice for friends, family and your short trip to escape busy Bangkok 😍

Location is great, room is big for family of 3. Hotel rate on high side. Within walking distance to Central Festive mall. Hop onto the bus and pay 10 baht per pax, alight anywhere you like along the long stretch of road, a way to explore Pattaya beach and surroundings. Overall good stay.
