This guest friendly hotel is located in the old quarter of Hanoi between the Ho Tay Lake and the river. Less than 5 minutes walk to the lake and only a few minutes more to the centre of the old quarter, the Gia Bao Grand has very friendly and helpful staff, great rooms with very large beds but (whilst I...

Hotel is slightly outside of the busiest part of the Old Quarter, which was nice. Very friendly staff. Rooms are clean and a coupe freebies are included with your stay i.e. water, coffee, & tea. Would recommend.

In April 2016, we spent about three weeks in Northern Vietnam to visit various places: Halong, Sapa, Mai Chau, Ninh Binh, ... . We also stayed a long time in Hanoi which was our centre of operation. All together, we spent around 9 days at the Gia Bao Grand Hotel. At the beginning, we decided to come to this hotel...

My stay at this hotel was quite positive and pleasing. The service staff, hospitality and cheerfulness of the staff compliments the warm red wood finish of the hotel well, exuding warmth and attention to detail. My room had a malfunctioning air-conditioner, the hotel was quite generous in offering me a room upgrade from Economy to Executive as a token of...

The Gia Bao Grand Hotel is close to the Old Quarter in Hanoi and handy to restaurants, shopping, the Puppet Theatre, Hoan Kiem Lake and sights. Very professionally run, friendly & efficient staff, and although not large, rooms are clean & comfortable, buffet breakfast fresh & adequate, free wifi and well managed - not the sort of hotel to laze...

Staff here are excellent and the hotel was central. Breakfast was available and basic but in all ok. The room was a really good size but the bathroom had its problems. The shower was in the bath and it was steep to access, very difficult if you are older. The shower rose was damaged and couldn't be adjusted either which...
