Short version: We were booted out at 9pm after one night because we refused to book a two night tour to Halong bay through the hotel. The owner said he didn’t like me from the beginning and that “everyone will hate you.” I did nothing wrong in my opinion except refuse a two day tour which I didn’t want. I...

Chose this hotel as offered free pick up from airport. Got room for 15 dollars each Only 6 rooms. All rooms modern with tv, fridge, air con. Said there was wifi - but it doesnt reach top floor. During monsoon rain, the roof leaked onto the bed. We changed rooms next day. Rooms on front of hotel are very noisy...

Never ask any service from this hotel! I asked them booking 5 train tickets for us at 7/22/2010 (Hanoi to Hue 8/17/2010 depart at 23:00). I checked in to this hotel at 8/15/2010. When I checked out from this hotel and tried to pick up my tickets at 8/16/2010, the reception personnel said that the tickets were locked in the...

We stayed at the Liberty hotel for 3 nights and it was a very enjoyable stay indeed. The hotel is small (only six rooms) which can be an advantage if you're looking for a quiet and pleasant place to stay and a disadvantage if you are thinking about meeting other people. Rooms are quite spacious, comfortable and spotless clean. Staff...

This hotel has more bad points than good ones. Assess them for yourself, but for me.. i'll never ever go back to this hotel again. There are def better ones out there with the same price or even lower. Starting off with their good points; a free pickup or dropoff is provided if one stays for 2/3 nights or more...

I stayed at Liberty Hotel for only one night and purchased the Halong Bay tour there. The room is clean but a little small but I wouldn't expect much more at the price. As previous reviewer mentioned, there were mosquitoes at night. The owner and the staffs were friendly and offered me some helpful information. When I came back to...

I'd like to say that we had a fabulous time at the Liberty Hotel, however in the end, that was far from the case. to cut a long story short, we booked a tour for 2 adults and a child under 4 (at 30% the adult rate). I didn't twig until after we left on the tour that children under...

You can tell they're really trying, but unfortunately they really fall short of the mark. The staff, especially Rose, was very nice and hospitable. Apart from Rose, I don't think any of the other reception staff speak English, and they were a little unprofessional (which I guess is not their fault as it is just the "Vietnamese way" of doing...

Having booked the Hanoi Liberty some months in advance and confirmed the booking the day before AND had the hotel arrange our pick-up from the airport we turned up at 10:30pm (in the hotel car) to be told our room had been sold to someone else!! This was communicated to us along with a range of lies about the airport...
