This space is directly in Hanoi. As you arrive here, you will likely see many motorcycles and cars on your journey moving in many directions, which is part of the experience in Hanoi. My daughter and I are vegan and we found a lovely vegan spot (IVeganSuperfood) within a 5 minute walk of Hanoi Boutique & Hotel. As we arrived at the space, a staff member came out to carry our bags inside and we were greeted with a tea and snack while the front desk described some of the activities we might enjoy in the area. She also taught us how to barter. We arrived on the floor to our room in this boutique hotel and were given a choice of rooms. The room we chose was in front of the staircase with the beautiful lanterns and we could see this from our room. Water was waiting for us in our room and we learned how to operate the power (key stays in the power holder to keep the a/c and lights running). Every time we had a question, it was promptly answered with care and consideration. I always felt welcome. Breakfast was incredible as my daughter and I got to try vegan phu for the first time because the staff made it vegan for us. There was an incredible buffet of fruit amongst a hot section. This breakfast is much more abundant than any free breakfast at any hotel I have ever stayed at in the U.S. and many other countries. Perhaps the best part of my stay was my conversations with the night receptionist as I woke up early each day and we had some great conversations about the culture, customs, and nuances of Hanoi and Vietnam overall. He even offered to give us a personal tour, which was wonderful. It is hard to navigate the streets of Hanoi because they aren't in a grid format, but he knew just how to get us to many wonderful spots. At the end of the tour, he took me to the pharmacy and translated the issue so that my daughter and I could both get a cream for (a bee sting and a rash). I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The bed is comfy, the breakfast is delicious and abundant, the staff speaks English, and everyone was helpful, friendly, and seemed interested in our travels.

We stayed here in January 2024, and honestly we couldn’t have picked a better spot. The rooms were incredible, the hotel is located right in the downtown core, and the breakfast is incredible. But most importantly, the staff were the best we’ve ever had. They helped us with booking a ha long bay cruise and a tour in ninh binh. They took the time to go over recommendations and make sure we were enjoying our stay. If we ever return to Hanoi we are definitely staying here again.

Very well located hotel near Hoan Kiem lake. Friendly welcome upon arrival. Nothing to complain about the staff. Very good service and always with a smile. We received good information about the sights in Hanoi and the surrounding area. We also received a document with restaurant tips (Vietnamese cuisine, Western cuisine, vegetarian,...), which was very useful.
Very well maintained hotel that has recently been refurbished. The breakfast was tasty and varied. Nothing to complain about the room and bathroom. Nicely decorated, a decent double bed and a small but functional bathroom. Good air conditioning. We had booked a triplex deluxe room with a mattress for the 3rd person on the floor. Room 304 has a window that looks out onto a wall. It doesn't bother you. However, it is not recommended to book this room during the weekends. A nearby bar causes serious noise pollution until the early hours. Even earplugs didn't help. The hotel itself has no control over this. Because we had booked 3 nights here, we indicated to reception that we did not want another night in these circumstances. Management immediately provided a solution. We got 2 standard rooms because there were no more deluxe rooms available. These were also in order and we had no noise pollution here.
Our travel agent had booked this hotel with a "no refund". Due to a traffic jam, our cruise on Halong Bay was canceled, which unexpectedly changed our itinerary. As a result, night 3 at this hotel was cancelled. The hotel did refund us for this night!!!
Conclusion: well located and well maintained hotel! If you are staying there on a weekend, be sure to request a room where you will not be bothered by loud music. We definitely recommend this ideally located and beautifully maintained hotel!

We cannot recommend the Hanoi Boutique hotel enough.

The hotel is excellent value for money. We booked a suite for a weekend getaway and it did not disappoint. The room was a great size with a separate living area and the bathroom was huge with a roll-top bath and a shower which could fit 4. Towels were changed daily. Complimentary water, tea/coffee, and toiletries topped up each day. The bed was comfortable, and the breakfast offered lots of choice. The location of the hotel is also good with attractions, bars and restaurants all within walking distance.

However, what made this stay for us, was the staff. They are hands down the most welcoming and helpful staff we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. We’ve both travelled extensively and these guys are second to none. As an LGBTQ couple, we can be weary when travelling as our presence isn’t always well received. However, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. From handwritten, personalised messages with our bedtime chocolates, to Rosie on the front desk giving us a ton of information on everything and anything we needed. Ken and Neo in the restaurant were amazing. One morning, when getting to breakfast at the tail end, they made us fresh coffee and a fruit platter to take up (even though we’d managed to get something from the buffet). Not only that, they had some great suggestions on where we might like to visit that day (and they were right).

We visited during rainy season, but an umbrella was ready and waiting for us when we looked to go out in the evening. Amy and Chloe were even kind enough to allow us late check-out free of charge despite the new guests arriving an hour later. It really was a 5 star experience and we’ve agreed, if we have another getaway in Hanoi, we’ll be back.

Don’t hesitate with this one, it’s a gem.

Super nice hotel, clean and with everything you need. The treatment of the employees is unbeatable, always attentive, with a smile and they speak perfect English.
The room was super comfortable, the big bed and the shower with hot water and lots of pressure.
Breakfast is a buffet but it also includes the menu with which you can order other dishes you want such as pho soup, eggs to taste, pancakes...
Without hesitation I would stay here again.

Me and my partner are currently backpacking round South East Asia and decided to book a nicer hotel after a 23 hour bus journey to Hanoi from Vientiane. We paid £21 a night and originally booked 2 nights but once we got there we HAD to book a third. The staff are so so friendly and really cannot do enough for you. On arrival we got snacks, a glass of water and even a wet towel to freshen ourselves up with whilst we waited. Chloe then gave us a few sheets of paper, a double sided document with recommendations for all different places to eat for different cuisines, a map of Hanoi, highlighting the best places to go for different activities and finally a ‘how to survive Hanoi’ guide which covered how to cross the road with the wild traffic, how to deal with pushy street vendors and how to bargain with the locals. The rooms were spotless and felt like luxury. The staff left little notes on our door every night and giving us little chocolates with it. Overall i recommend staying here for as long as you can and cannot thank Chloe, Jeremy and Anna for being so helpful and a credit to their company.

At first we were a little surprised, we had room 301, two windows in the room but everything was dark because of the neighboring houses, but that had the advantage that the room was very quiet. The hustle and bustle and smells of the city were only noticeable when you left the hotel. Central location, everything in the old town was within easy walking distance, good breakfast with soup, omelette, cold and warm dishes, fruit, coffee, etc.
The hotel was clean and the massage was also very good and at a fair price.
Lucy was very friendly and competent, it was always a pleasure to see her.
An Agribank ATM is directly opposite the hotel.

We stayed here 2 times during our vacation two nights in April and 3 nights beginning of May (because we loved it so much the first time).

Be aware that he classic rooms and some other rooms lack natural light (it did not bother me) so ask about this if it is important for you.

Lucy and her front desk colleague, Rosie, and the rest of the staff are very friendly and try to help wherever possible.

The hotel is lovely, it is in a great location, in the Old Quarter and all of the main sites are within easy walking distance (5 to max 15 minutes). The rooms are clean, well equipped and a decent size for the Old Quarter.

The breakfast has lots of European and Asian choices and is of very good quality. There are some extra's (like pho soup) you can request (included in the price).

I got a very good massage also and it was better (and cheaper) then the massage I had outside later (Hanoi massages are expensive compared to other places).

I wil recommend this place to my friends.

We stayed at this hotel a number of times during our stay in Vietnam and they were all very friendly. Location is really fantastic because it is right in the Old Town and that is where you want to be in Hanoi. what a very lively neighborhood. I slept well and the air conditioning in the rooms was good and quite quiet. The rooms are clean and we booked a deluxe room twice. one was slightly larger than the other but fine. The disadvantage for us is that you have to shower in a bath that is not too large, but some will say “Hey, there is a bath in the room!” .. we are more the shower type, so that is personal. the rooms are attractive and they do not have white bright lamps but tasteful yellow light lamps.
The breakfast was more than fine and you can also order some things from the menu such as eggs, omelette or a pancake. Furthermore, there is of course coffee, tea, lemonade, fruit, etc.
You can also book a massage with a 20% discount if you stay here. Of course we did and for less than 20 euros (dollars) you can get a massage for 1 hour! Highly recommended, but especially the friendliness of the ENTIRE staff was striking

First it’s important to understand the hotel is located in the Old Quarter of Hanoi, a chaotic, noisy and dangerous to walk place. If you’re adventurous, go for it. If you want something calm, clean and upscale, stay in the French Quarter.
I think the staff is what makes this place worth it. They’re very sweet, efficient and go out of their way to make you feel at home. Breakfast is very simple and the only meal served. They call you in the room if you don’t show up, which is a bit ridiculous. If you’re planning to sleep in, tell them not to wake you up for breakfast. Skip the spa- the massage I got was of low quality.
The first room I got had windows blocked by the building next door so no natural light at all! Also it didn’t have a shower, only a bath tub. Second room had a shower stall in the bedroom, as opposed to in the bathroom. But that worked out ok. Mattress was very hard but I didn’t mind it. Room had two windows but only one had a blackout so bring an eye mask if you don’t want sunlight in your face early in the am. Two bottles of water a day, mini fridge available, pot to boil water for tea but no coffee machine. Also there was a safe and a couple of flip flops in the room. Toiletries were average. Music in the hallway was loud and I could hear it clearly in the room. It starts early in the am and goes till 10 pm. I could also hear a lot of noise from the street and music from a disco close by at night. Guests and cleaning staff alike talk very loud in the hallway early in the am. If you’re a light sleeper, this is not your place.
Overall, I got what I paid for. It wasn’t a bad stay by any means but it is not as exceptional as the reviews suggest. Kudos again to the staff, especially Rosie. They really try hard to accommodate your requests.

Response from Mai Le Ms, Other at Hanoi Boutique Hotel & Spa
Responded 9 Nov 2024
Dear PatoColumbus, We sincerely appreciate your recent stay at Hanoi Boutique Hotel & Spa and thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us refine our services and ensure a positive experience for our guests. Our hotel is centrally located in the bustling Old Quarter, near by Night market and Beer street, making it very convenient for exploring local life. This is why many tourists choose our hotel, but we regret if this wasn't what you were looking for. Due to the unique characteristics of the Old Quarter, where buildings are constructed closely together, it is quite common for some rooms to have limited natural lights or views. This can also be considered a fresh experience of this bustling area in Hanoi. We recommend considering room categories like the Deluxe City View for a better experience. All room information are clearly outlined on our website and booking channels, but we truly regret if your experience did not meet your expectations. We were especially concerned to read your comments regarding our spa services. Our team regularly collects feedback after each treatment to maintain high standards, and we were pleased that your live-feedback reflected satisfaction. However, we would be grateful if you could provide additional details to help us further enhance this aspect of our service. Additionally, we apologize if the morning breakfast calls were disruptive to your stay. These calls are made 30 minutes before breakfast ends to ensure that our guests don't miss their meals, especially if they have health issue or prefer to have breakfast in their rooms. We believe that these small gestures demonstrate our commitment to providing exceptional service. However, we regret that we were unable to address any specific concerns you may have had during your stay. We recognize that mattress preferences are personal and, while our mattresses meet standard hotel quality, we offer mattress toppers for those who prefer a softer feel. We are sorry if we missed the opportunity to make your stay more comfortable in this regard. Please know that our team remains dedicated to creating memorable experiences for all our guests. We would be honored to have the chance to welcome you back in the future and provide an even better experience. Kind regards, Mai Le Hotel Manager
