Moved from the Hanoi Travellers Hostel as an 'upgrade'. Told there was a lift but the room we stayed in was at the front of the hotel on 3rd floor without a lift. We booked a double but it was a twin room, outdated but...More
We stayed here for 3 nights. Our first 2 nights, we stayed in room 201. Room is fairly clean, twin beds put together to make it king size. The bed sheet has some stains and hairs. i have stayed in bungalows in phu quoc and...More
this place is on the street which sells brass shower heads and handles. the hotel is fairly good, has clean and tidy rooms, but some rooms have leaky sinks and basins. plumbing could be improved. don't worry about the buffet breakfast.....
I was a bit wary of the hotel before my arrival. However, I need not have worried. The rooms are basic but clean. And for only a few £s, one can upgrade to a deluxe room which was more spacious and has a balcony overlooking...More

The online application procedure mentioned by Jim is correct and best if followed. Regarding the airport transfers the hotel provided it to my brother and me free perhaps since we stayed long (except for the first time from the airport to hotel). It's around 25 usd. normally and can be arranged initially too through Mrs.Flower. Regarding tours, we usually travelled by hired private car so really cannot mention rates, and shared minibus guided tours are cheaper around 30 usd a head sometimes with lunch depending on the location (excluding tips to the girl guide). Rates are available at the hotel and might be slightly higher than outside rates...but it's best since you have the hotel security factor in arranging to/fro details. Sapa might be boring...Halong bay cruise has many star grades and duration factors and rates vary accordingly. Make sure you book it in good weather conditions. A very helpful smiling staff helps you sincerely when you query any doubts politely.... and you can trust them. Travelling by meter taxi is always cheaper. Nightlife is fun especially for us guys. As with any country, don't talk at night with bikers who have girls sitting behind who might stop you to entice you for a good time...you might get your belongings snatched. Hanoi is a very lovely place..very good friendly people, good culture as felt during my 40 day stay.
