A lovely 5 star hotel with beautiful rooms and decor. Clean and comfortable and an amazing bed. There is some fabulous lighting in the room but it was difficult to work out where all the switches were, a minor detail but hunting for switches can be a pain. Delicious buffet breakfast with great staff and service. A lovely bar downstairs...

We stayed for four nights at the Opera Hotel at various stages of our Vietnam tour, experiencing three different rooms. Hotel de l'Opera is a high-end hotel, well situated in central Hanoi and within walking distance of many of the cities attractions. All the bedrooms we stayed in were similar. They were of a good size, with high luxurious beds,...

The true test of a hotel is what assistance they offer an independent traveller in an emergency. My partner fell ill during our stay and we we pleased with the speed that a doctor was summoned, and with the caring attitude of the staff. Value for money for that alone.

The standard of this hotel was due mostly to it's team of excellent staff. Always smiling, willing to assist, making you feel especially well looked after. The restaurant gave the same attentiveness with an impressive selection of the breakfast foods we indulged in each morning with relish. The rooms were opulent & the beds so comfortable. Being so tired from...

This hotel is excellent, rooms are good, food is reasonable, although I found the local music, dancing and drums in the dining room too noisy and the music in the lobby sounded like pre funeral music, but the beds, pillows and general room was good, the staff were very pleasant

Yes, the hotel's very central location is great if you want to have dinner near the Opera or go for an evening walk around the lake, yes the rooms are not huge but well appointed (ours was not noisy at all), staff are competent and courteous, blah blah... but oh, that breakfast was the best.

Stayed for a night and should have extend my stay, unfortunately rooms fully booked. And I understand why. The room is amazing, just love the room interior. Nice high bed and we are lucky to stay up high at the 8th level. Nice lounge too, and good selection of food during breakfast. We will be back again.
