I enjoyed my stay at Finnegans hotel very much. The room was decorated in such a unique way, giving it an almost "new york apartment" feel. It was also a nice big room with a good sized bathroom. You have to switch the hot water on about 10min before showering but this was one of the best showers I've had... More

This hotel is located in the Old Quarter which suited us well. It was close enough to the Temple of Literature to walk there, & walks around Hoan Kiem Lake were a great way to start the day. Breakfasts at the hotel were lovely, especially the pancakes and veggie omelet. Hanh was so helpful, making travel arrangements for us to... More

We stayed for one night in Finnigans to finish our trip in Hanoi and unfortunately it was quite a disappointing one. We booked the hotel due to its excellent value for money and great reviews on TA. The website also showed modern rooms and reception areas which made the hotel look like a fantastic choice for us. We'd been travelling... More

Great staff, the owner was so helpful with to us about booking onward travel. He even upgraded us to a better room for free, such a lovely gesture. Always had a smile on his face and so welcoming. The breakfast was superb and it has the perfect location for wandering around the crazy old quarter. Would highly recommend. Thanks again,... More

Stayed here for a total of 4 separate nights over the course of a week, in between trips elsewhere with my husband, daughter and her boyfriend. Between us, we stayed in several of the rooms and can honestly say they are all fantastic. Each room has its own Vietnamese 'theme' from Water Puppets to Ho Chi Min to ethnic regions,... More

What friendly and helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was beautiful, clean and very well presented. This was an absolute gem of a find and close to the local night markets as well. Great location with everything nearby. Would not hesitate to stay again.

The Finnegans hotel stays in the really nice location and with a very interesting local neighborhood. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel however there is some minor with our stay as the balcony room was a bit noisy because it in the middle of the town and the thin walls woke us up in the middle of the... My husband and I stayed here for four nights total on two separate visits and would absolutely book again if returning to Hanoi. We liked: The breakfast: some of the best we've had in six weeks in Southeast Asia. There are lots of options, but we enjoyed a really generous bowl of pho, a fruit platter and yogurt. We weren't... Our hotel room at Finnegan's was perfect for the two of us. Clean and simple in the center of all the action of Hanoi. You can easily walk, rikshaw, or scooter anywhere in Hanoi from here. Despite being in a city of millions and millions of people, I loved this hotel because of the kindness of the owners Hanh and... More

It pains me to write less than an excellent review of a family-run hotel but I now believe the other reviews for this hotel describing offensive, rude staff. The unpleasant interaction we experienced was with the owner (his wife and other staff seemed perfectly nice). The owner was condescending, refused at first to look into upgrading our two-person room to... More
