The hotel's amenities, including a spa and a cozy breakfast area, are appreciated by guests, although some have concerns about room size and breakfast variety.

This hotel's biggest strength lies in its fantastic location. Nestled right in the heart of the historic district, it offered easy access to all the cultural gems the area has to offer. The staff truly impressed us with their attentiveness and willingness to go the extra mile. They were a delight to interact with, and their assistance helped make our stay even more enjoyable.
The room itself was perfectly adequate for our needs, offering clean and comfortable accommodations. However, potential guests should be aware that some rooms face directly onto the street. While this provides a vibrant atmosphere, it can also be quite noisy, especially during peak hours. Traffic noise, including car horns and motorcycles, can be disruptive to sleep.
Therefore, if a peaceful nighttime environment is a priority, requesting a room on the quieter side of the hotel is highly recommended.

The room was beautiful, the breakfast was excellent and the hotel is situated in a convenient location in the old town. So why am I not giving the hotel a perfect score? There was 1 major issue and 2 minor ones. Firstly, I had already informed the hotel that I would be arriving around 4.30am, coming in from Sapa on the overnight coach. I had requested for an early check-in, and if that was not possible, at least warmly received by reception. To my disappointment, when I arrived at 4 30am, the entire lobby was dark (photo attached) and there was no one at reception! I tentatively looked around and saw one staff member asleep on a couch in the lobby area, shirt unbuttoned, shoes off. I told him I had just come in and, without getting up, simply told me I could not check in. I asked for directions to the washroom to freshen up, and he pointed me in the direction, before going back to sleep. After I freshened up, I spent about half an hour, sitting in the dark, while this staff member continued sleeping. Two more guests came in and they were treated the same way. The staff member finally woke up at 6am, shirt still unbuttoned, untucked, sans shoes and socks, and shuffled his way to reception to "start work". By that time, I had already spent one and a half hours sitting in the dark. I later learned from other staff there was supposed to be 2 staff members on duty but evidently, one had chosen to skip work while the other found it acceptable to literally sleep on the job. There was a clear lack of professionalism. The second, more minor, issue is that when I was making payment, I was informed that I would be charged an additional 3% if I were to pay by credit card. I'm pretty sure merchants are not allowed to pass on merchant fees to their customers and if the card issuer finds out about this discriminatory pricing, they would not be happy. The third issue is that you can't watch free-to-air channels in the room tv. They only have YouTube and netflix (you have to use your own account). I'm not fussed about not having cable channels but I thought free to air was pretty basic.

Really friendly staff, great location, decent facilities. I’d definitely stay at the hotel again, the location is ideal and the hotel staff (especially Linh) were so helpful, organising airport pickup/drop off and constantly giving us restaurant recommendations. Thanks to all the team at La Passion

The Passion has two locations in Hanoi. We booked thinking we would be at the newer property. We arrived to find that our reservation was not at the hotel we thought it was. The bell boy than had to cart our luggage down a couple of streets to a location and a room very different from what we had booked. The room while clearly renovated, was not what was advertised and confirmed on our booking. The breakfast that was included was a the newer hotel which meant we had to walk a few blocks to get breakfast. The hotel blamed Agoda for mislabelling the location but it appeared that it was normal course of business for hotel management to over book the hotel. Also note that the amenities are not as listed on their website. The Passion does not offer what they advertise.

Good location, but very noisy, so had to sleep with ear plugs during the stay. Breakfast was hit and miss, no pastries or yogurt or most fruits by 9am, not restoked for all guests to enjoy. Omelette was different each time, one day good one day bad! No consistency! Asked for an iron and ironing board, got an iron and been advised to iron on bed! Tiny bottles of shower gel and shampoo, not refilled for 3days!

Had a poor experience trying to get our room. Was put into a lower priced room and even after making it clear it was wrong was told it wasn’t! Had to prove it by showing pictures of the room booked and even then the management tried to come up with excuses! Eventually we got our room and even after asking multiple times to speak to the manager had no one come to see me. Worst experience of this nature I’ve ever had where no manager bothers to come and see you post an issue. Certainly wouldn’t recommend this place for fear of others facing the same and getting a worse outcome!
Shame as the staff generally are great Nathan, the ladies and others on the front desk were good and the bell boys especially Peter were great. As I say shame management can’t be bothered to handle mistakes.
Breakfast was average at best little limited and same stuff each day not even a change of fruits. Again shame as I don’t think it would cost much more given all the other hotels we have stayed at gave such a variety of local fruits for us to taste.

This hotel is a SCAM. They lied to us when we arrived and told us there was a problem with the hot water in our room so for the night they’d have to send us to their other hotel that was 3 min away from the main one. As we had no option after a long day of traveling, we had to accept. After dragging around our big heavy suitcases through the busy and dangerous streets we got to their second hotel which was in some sketchy back alley… they put us in a small room, of course nothing like what we booked and they gave us a very insignificant “discount” for that night. They told us to go back to the main hotel the following day with all of our luggage but after everything that had happened until then we requested to see the room first. They took us to a ran down TINY room with a broken window that couldn’t be closed so the noise from the traffic was crazy and you could hear chairs being dragged on the floor above (where breakfast was served). We walked out immediately as the room looked NOTHING like the pictures they advertised on booking, com We later found out they do this all the time (just check other reviews). The person in charge had the nerve to ask us not to leave a bad review…

La Passion Hotel & Spa is a wonderful destination and I cannot help but mention the great support from Mr. Le Hoang, one of the excellent staff members here. The first time I set foot in the hotel, I was warmly welcomed by Hoang, who diligently guided me through the entire hotel and made sure I had all the information I needed. He was always ready to help and answer all my questions, helping me feel at home. Not only in terms of support, Hoang is also special in creating a comfortable and friendly space. He always respects and cares about his customers' needs. Hoang's professionalism and positive attitude were an integral part of making my stay experience exceptional. In addition to excellent support from Hoang, La Passion Hotel & Spa is also an ideal place for all travelers. This hotel is beautiful, luxurious, and has excellent service. Rooms are comfortable and convenient. I would like to send my sincere thanks to manager Hoang and the entire La Passion Hotel & Spa team. My experience here was truly excellent and I will definitely come back again.

I don’t understand how this is a 4 star hotel, this was a pretty disappointing experience. Some staff were reasonably friendly, with others acting pretty indifferent and with poor levels of service. The breakfast was disappointing, with little attention to the stock levels, as the offering was incredibly bare, and the food on offer was quite poor too. We arrived an hour before breakfast closing and understand the offering wouldn’t be full but this was really disappointing. We tried to book the spa through reception and were instructed to go to the “spa” as they were ready for us. We were greeted by a man in jeans, with no menu, and poor communication due to lack of english. We can’t expect the person to speak english, but there was no way for us to communicate what we wanted through lack of menu and price list. It felt like they grabbed a guy off the street and was an uncomfortable experience we were sure to decline. We needed to check out very early on the day we left and were greeted by an empty reception and someone sleeping on the sofa in reception. We understand staff may need to rest, but a 4 star hotel shouldn’t have staff sleeping in the lobby…

I had a wonderful stay at La Passion Hanoi Hotel & Spa. The location in the heart of the Old Quarter is unbeatable, making it easy to explore nearby attractions. The rooms were impeccably clean, and the staff went above and beyond to help, offering great suggestions for restaurants and things to do. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hanoi!
