For this kind of hotel class and price, there are certain expectations. Some unfortunately were not fulfilled when I stayed there. Let's start with the great things: hotel lobby is grand, the room quite roomy and spacious, with a large king bed or two large twins, more than enough to put in an extra bed (if needed) with ectra dpace left. Good amenities and if facing the pool, nice views. However, entering the room I was greeted by a musty smell and a "dirty looking" room. I asked for a different room as the smell didn't go away after an hour, which was promply granted. The "dirt" was consistent in both room: it actually was the carpet which was tainted and/or rubbed off at many spots, so it was not really dirty as such but didn't look nice esp in a 5 star hotel. XIN CHAO! Hanoi Daewoo Hotel. The hotel is 20minutes from NOI BAI Airport and 15minutes Grab ride to HANOI Old Quarter( French) night bazzar, historical museum, opera house and and food eateries. Walking is possible-wear good sneakers. Check out competive rates from the Hotel if you intend staying in Hanoi Daewoo. It is a stones throw to LOTTE shopping mall 3mins walk behind & to RMIT UNIVERSITY city campus. An easy walking access to eatries behind the campus lake walk. The campus front head roght along the road to mid price cafés and local eatries. Ask the Hanoi Daewoo's concierge for directions. Hotel Daewoo is a clean 5 STAR Hotel. 2 nights stay in the grand deluxe double room, difference between grand deluxe and deluxe is... Grand deluxe is a lake-view room. 90s styled hotel with clean and neat sheets/towels. TV showing non-HD channels, ranging from HBO to Asian programmes. Bathroom is well-fitted with necessities, shower fittings are loose (for my room). Hot shower is immediate. Breakfast buffet was ok but not much variety.

I have been attending this restaurant for many years and, I have never been disappointed. The staff are always cheerful pleasant and attentive. The food on the buffet changes very often so, regulars like me don't get bored, eating the same things. I highly recommend this restaurant. Sunday brunch with free flow wine or beer is excellent value. Also, weekend, seafood dinner buffet.

The rooms are clean and the view is good, and the staff is friendly. The breakfast buffet is very varied with a wide selection of meals, including egg dishes and Pho, which are prepared on the spot. It's a hotel where you want to stay again.

The experience of staying at this hotel is a great one. Friendly staff and amicable atmorsphere. I stay at 16 floor with a VIP lounge attached. I had my breakfast here during my stay and also checkout here as well. A lady staff named Jessie (Giang) was excellent in service attitude, professionalism, alwasy witha great smile when greeting with the guests. I will stay here next time for sure. Two thumbs up!
