Don't do it. I know you're thinking about it, but don't do it. Just don't. I heard a good review from a friend, but now I'm thinking they probably styaed in one of the many knock-offs of this place and not the real deal. The real deal? Absolutely horrid. Having backpacked and budgeted my way through Asia this year in...

Its a wonderful guesthouse: rooms are clean and quiet. Staff is very helpful and friendly. have seen many hostels in Hanoi and this is definitely the best value for money! They do organise quality tours for a good price. I booked some trips from them.I were happy and sastisfied. I highly recommended this place when you come to Hanoi.I will tell...

The woman who owns Manh Dung may be genuine and friendly, but one of her nieces ,Thom, who works there as well will most definately try to take as much money as she can. She borrowed money from several of the hotel guests (already a no-no), and then conveniently forgot to pay them back. She also overcharges for her tours/bus services....

I arrived in Hanoi on a recommendation from my sister who stayed here 4 years ago, she stayed in contact with Ms Thom Le as she had been very helpful during her stay. I have stayed for 7 days and everything has been organised for me from trips to the flight to Saigon. Every trip that i have been on...

The staff where helpful and friendly. I will recommend it to my daughter as I know the staff will help her. It is a good area as it is central but in a lane so it is quiet. The staff will help you organize a trip to Sappa or and Halong Bay which are worth doing.

You must not not to be very particular about cleanliness in the room and they are little. The worst is the ladies in this guest house are smiling but the objective is to take your money : it is very unpleasant. Go never in this guest house

Clerk made it very clear from the beginning that she was more interested in squeezing every last dollar out of me rather than making me feel welcome. I first found out about the place when walking by one night, and I was told they have rooms for $5-$12/night. The next morning I came back, but was shown a $15/night room....

We came to Manh Dung after calling beforehand, and we had a map from ReidOnTravel, which we followed to the last lane, so we landed at the right Manh Dung alright! But boy was I disappointed! We were given a $20 room, and it was the smallest room we had in all of the 3 weeks we spent in Vietnam!...

I stayed here for the last 6 weeks of an 8 week work/volunteer trip. I stayed on the top floor that had an unobstructed view of the city and was across the hall from the family's prayer room. I loved walking the streets and "eating on the street" that this Guest House location provided. I came to know the neighbors...

I found this guesthouse in my Lonely Planet 6 months before I came so was pretty happy when I arrived and they had a room for me. As promised the staff can't do enough to help and we've become pretty good friends which is why I feel compelled to write this review! In Hanoi, it's common for hotels to be...

“The top room 503 is the cheapest I believe, but it is a bit smaller... and, during our stay at least, there was always a cat meowing for hours on the adjacent rooftop; not that it;s room 503's fault, ha.”
