The rooms are clean and big enough. It seems like the hotel is in the shopping area and can easily access to shops around the hotel, night market, lake and night life of the hanoi. The staff are also very helpful. The hotel also has...More
- Good location: from this little hotel, you can walk to any attractions you want within 5 or 10 minutes.
- Clean room, housekeeping lady did a good job and she were very nice to give us some complementary bottles of water also.
The staff here are great they welcomed us from the beginning and every single time we entered after that.
There is no elevator, so you will get your exercise going up and down the floors. It’s not the end of the world though. Our room...More
This is a very friendly hotel in a good location. Busy street, but if you get a room on a higher floor (no elevator) it should be not too noisy! The omelettes for breakfast were really good. They also have a little restaurant that is...More
Over all average hotel, nothing much to complain about but also nothing to write home about.

I've spent New Years in Hanoi and had the exact same schedule as you. I stayed in little Hanoi diamond which is very close to most of the points of interest and very affordable. Just the standard rooms are very noisy because they stay on the same ground as the kitchen, so I would avoid picking these rooms.
We took one of the Galaxy Cruises with 12 cabines, and most of them include pick and drop off facility. They are not very expensive given that you book in advance.
As I wanted to keep my luggage in the hotel, I payed for the overnight stay at little Hanoi to ensure I would have a room on my return from Halong Bay. But they could also keep my luggage in storage room if I wish.
Hope it helped !
Enjoy Halong bay! It's definitely a sightseeing trip with the most amazing view of Hanoi
