We had a great stay at Golden Sun Suites Hotel. Great location in the Old Quarter, nice spacy rooms and exceptional friendly and helpfull staff. Jenny and her colleagues helped us with all tickets, tours etc. I strongly recommend this hotel.
Reception service is poor. Room has kettle and cups but you have to bring your own coffee or tea. There were no bottled water in the room too, not even after calling reception three times. Only upon checking out did receptionist offered me a bottle! Bed sheet was not clean, could see little bugs crawling around. Although I was alone, I was given a triple-room which is redundant; better a clean small room than a big unclean one.
We have stayed 2 nights in this hotel and had a best breakfast in all Vietnam. The hotel is in great location, very quick access to all main tourists attractions in the city. We had a Junior Suite and it was spacious, with a good wifi and window from a quiet side. The bed was comfortable and TV, AC working perfect on a separate socket so when we were comming back from the town, the room was chilled. The bathroom needs a slight improvement but they getting there. After Covid it isn't easy to get everything done in one day. Overall, we hade a perfect stay.
We visited in 2019 it was quite nice, pleasant experience. But this year it was miserable unfortunately, it needed renovations. The ac in the room was not working, we asked for assistance but no one responded, telling us it was the maximum and no one can clean the room because of COVID . Breakfast was at it least because of COVID, there was no lightings in the hotel. We would prefer that there will be some improvements because it has good location and nice big pool and big rooms.
This was my first trip to Asia, and on arrival I admit I was overwhelmed. The Golden Sun Suite Hotel was definitely a place where we could rest up and get our bearings. We booked here for four nights, and then stayed an additional night. The hotel was clean, the staff were amazingly helpful and the breakfasts provided were fresh and good quality. Having a good breakfast set us up for hot days where we didn't eat much until later. Our room was a good size and very clean - this was my biggest concern, but we couldn't have been happier. The location was great, we were in the centre of the old town but there wasn't really any noise from the streets. The key thing here was the staff, who were all very friendly and efficient. They booked trips for us and helped with everything. Even when we finished our stay at the hotel and returned from a boat trip they let us rest in the hotel and organised our travel to the airport, even providing us with cool drinks. We would definitely stay here again. It was the perfect haven for the often chaotic Hanoi scene (that you get used to and love very quickly). Thanks to the staff for a fantastic stay.…
This hotel is absolutely perfect to explore Hanoi. It’s in the heart of the city. Lots of restaurants and great shopping in the area. Rooms are large and very clean. The customer service from the employees is wonderful. I highly recommend it
This hotel "ticked the box" in every respect. On arrival, after a very friendly welcome and plenty of information about the local area and where to eat etc, we were taken upstairs and offered a choice between two (equally splendid) rooms. I don't remember this happening to me anywhere else in the world! Our chosen room was superb - spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable large bed, safe, fridge and beautifully finished with nice artwork on the walls. The bathroom was excellent, the shower had good heat and flow and toiletries were provided. The staff were absolutely wonderful; all so friendly and helpful and more than willing to provide information on Hanoi and sort taxis etc. They also looked after our bags while we spent a night in Ha Long Bay. Breakfast was really nice with freshly cooked eggs and pancakes, as well as a wide range of buffet options including Asian and western foods. The bread and fruit were particularly nice. Wifi was good and the location spot on for many of Hanoi's attractions. In seven weeks travel in SE Asia, this hotel was a stand out. I really hope the hotel and staff can make a come back post-Coronavirus.…
We didn't get to stay at this hotel due to the coronavirus but from booking with them almost a year ago to having to reluctantly ask for a refund the customer service was exceptional. Emails always promptly replied to, their kindness in this awful time leaves me speechless. Cannot rate this hotel highly enough - we will book with them again without hesitation when this virus has gone, and look forward to meeting the faces behind the incredible kindness!
The customer service at this hotel was one of the best in our 2 week stay in Vietnam. The staff was always jumping up to assist without us even having a chance to ask. The hotel is spotlessly clean, very quiet, cozy and comfortable. The breakfasts were really good. The price of our lovely room was very reasonable. The email communication with the manager Justin- before and after our stay was excellent. I cannot recommend this hotel enough if you are visiting Hanoi for a short or long stay.
We stayed here for two nights and couldn't have been happier. When we first arrived to the hotel our bags were taken from the Grab into the hotel and we were greeted by Jeff. We sat down as he was checking us in and to our surprised we were offered a complimentary welcome drink and lotus candy, which was very tasty. The check in was quick and up we went to our room. The room was a decent size and on the bed our towels were put together into a heart shape with orchids tucked into the fold. Once we were settled in we went downstairs to ask what we should do, Justin was great help. He was able to show us where to go for sightseeing, where the best pho restaurant is, coffee shops and the night market. He was very helpful and cheerful. The breakfast that was served at the restaurant was really good, there is the buffet option, which had great western and Vietnamese options as well as a menu where you can order beef pho, omelettes and pancakes. You really can't go wrong booking this hotel. The team is truly amazing and such lovely people, shout out to Justin, Jeff and Sophie.…
